K'ran

In Hanni's experience, bronzeriders were there to be flirted with and
seduced, or at least that was what she knew best. In her opinion, perhaps
somewhat over-inflated, they couldn't resist her, not after she made it
clear what she was after, and that she meant it.

And it was with that in mind, she approached the dark haired bronzerider
sat alone in the dining cavern...

K'ran looked up as someone approached him. "Hello." he greeted her.
"Hanni, right? Need a place to sit?" he asked, reaching out to move some
of the things he'd had scattered around him to clear some room.

"Amongst other things," she said as she slipped into the now free seat.

"Oh?" he asked. "Do you need anything from me?" She shouldn't. After
all, they weren't in the same wing, so she probably wasn't looking for
his advice- was she? If not, he didn't know.

"There's plenty you can do for me," she said giving him a 'look'. The vast
majority of men (excluding greenriders) when faced with that would know
exactly what she meant. "You could help me with something."

Her look showed what she wanted from him. "I'm not so sure I can help."
he answered.

"Oh come now," she said leaning forward and lowering her voice. "I can help
you help me." A hand was placed on his thigh, and was slowly moved upwards
temptingly. "You know what I mean."

K'ran didn't pull back only because he didn't know if that would have
any effect. "I do." he replied. "I'm afraid I'm not the person you're
looking for, though."

She pulled back slightly, a puzzled look beginning to form on her face.
"How
do you know?"

"You're pretty, and I'm sure you're a nice person, but..." K'ran
shrugged, unsure of how to finish that.

"Don't you like girls?" she said. "You're a bronzerider. They all like
ladies."

"I wouldn't ride bronze if I didn't." he replied. He got that statement
often. Even Corran teased him that he shouldn't be in a Weyr, he should
have stayed at a Hold. "I'm just not interested in casual liaisons."

"Oh, I can be serious, if you want me to be."

"Ah, but for how long?" K'ran countered. "Sex just isn't that important
to me."

"Maybe you just haven't had it with the right person yet?" She squirmed a
little closer. "I could show you some things that might change your mind."

"Perhaps." he answered. "Of course, if I refuse, you're probably going
to go ask someone else, aren't you?"

It had crossed her mind to give up and go find someone else, but there was
something about this bronzerider that had intrigued her in the first place.
"I'd just go back to my weyr."

"Would you really?" K'ran pondered the matter for a moment. Sarian, for
example, had just given up and left for someone else. That was the usual
reaction. He wasn't interested in what she was offering, but he was
intrigued. "So what makes me so interesting anyways?"

"You're different from the usual bronzeriders I've met. There's something
intriguing about you that I can't quite put my finger on."

"My lack of interest in sex?" he joked. What could possibly be interesting
about him? He was just another man. Rogueth corrected him quickly,
reminding him that he was his lifemate and thus important.

Still, he didn't have many friends here, and Hanni had sought him out.
Perhaps for a different kind of company than he favored, but she was still
here. "How about dinner?" he suggested, tone making it clear he meant just
dinner. He wouldn't completely shut her out.

"Dinner's a start."

K'ran nodded. "A start to a good friendship, I hope."

"And we can take it from there."

"Indeed."
