Description: Kapera picks up T'shen for an evening of enjoyment.
Location: Dragonsfall Weyr
Date: month 4, day 19 of Turn 4
T'shen made his way through the tables of the dining cavern, his hands
full with
plates and cup. It wasn't easy dodging this way and that around tables
full of
riders relaxing after a hard days work. With Thread expected tomorrow, the
training session had been tiring for everyone, and nervous energy needed
to be
expended.
He heard his name and turned, not concentrating on what he was doing, and he
thudded into someone. He turned back quickly, feeling the hot klah
scalding his
hand.
"Oh Kapera! I am so sorry!" he quickly pushed his way through the nearest
diners and placed his plates and cup down unceremoniously in front of
them. "Did
the klah scald you?" he asked.
"No," the goldrider replied, "Nothing hurt but my pride." she quipped. It was
rare anyone ever bumped her. "There are easier ways to get my attention, you
know." she added lightly.
"And if had been more careful I might have had the opportunity to use one of
them." he smiled, "Are you sure I didn't get you with tha klah?" his hand
began
to sting where the liquid had fallen.
"I'm positive." She looked at him curiously. "What about you? DO you need
to get
seen by a Healer?"
"No. It's nothing." he shook his hand, the cooler air making it feel better.
"It'll serve as a reminder to me to be careful." his smiled, "And that
there are
better ways of making impressions on beautiful women....."
"Careful, hmm? There are most _certainly_ times when taking great care is
advised." Her tone indicated the kind of activities she was referring to.
T'shen's eyebrow lifted perceptably, his eyes holding Kapera's intently. "Do
tell..." he said quietly enough for her to hear, but not for general
consumption. He reached through to the table, and once more, collected his
plates, and klah. "Did you plan on a companion at dinner?"
"I don't have anything to do for the rest of the night." she replied.
"Fortune
smiles on us both, I suppose."
"So it would seem." He glanced around the cavern, looking for a table, or at
least seats that they could take. "It seems a little crowded in here. Your
place or mine?"
"My weyr has more room, and a private bathing pool, and all sorts of other
interesting things." she said.
"Oh..do tell." his eyebrows rose, as he tried hard to maintain a straight
face.
"We'll get you something to eat then, and...go to your rooms?" he asked,
leaning in and speaking quietly into her ear.
"Sounds good to me." she replied.
He assisted her back towards the servery, this time ensuring his mug of
klah was
no where near the goldrider. The knowing looks he got from other riders
as they
passed did nothing to quell his interest in Kapera. He watched as she
selected
a small platter of food, and for himself swapped his mug of half full klah
for a
wineskin, and two goblets.
Now that she had her food, she was ready for more interesting pursuits. Idly
Kapera wondered how much of the food would actually be _eaten_. "Ready
when you
are."
He moved forward and held out his arm to allow her to walk ahead. "After
you."
he smiled, "Ladies first, as they say. I'll also get a better view from
here."
he whispered in her ear as she walked passed him."
She smiled and stroked his arm before moving forward. "Enjoy it, then, as a
preview for what's to come."
