Sarian turned the chair across from K'ran around backwards and straddled it, folding her arms along the back and planting her chin on them. For a moment she studied him in silence as if this was a perfectly natural thing to do. "Well, you look normal enough. I heard someone say you don't like girls, but I told her that's just because you haven't met the right one."
"If I didn't like girls, would I ride bronze?" K'ran retorted, looking up at her. "Good day." he added as a polite afterthought. "Sarian, isn't it?"
"Mmmm," she replied, still studying him. "You know, I think you're just about my height. That presents some _really_ interesting possibilities..."
"You're one of the first to be close to my height, besides my brother."
K'ran replied. He wasn't going to give into her baiting. "And what kind of possibilites are you thinking of?"
She grinned at him. "The kind that you talk about in whispers, or in private. Or when you're really, really drunk. Sometimes all three."
"I don't get drunk nor gossip in private, so I can't see what you want with me." K'ran replied lightly.
Sarian snorted. "If you can't see what I want with you, then maybe you really _don't_ like girls."
"I like them as friends, but I have no interest in casual bedmates."
K'ran replied simply. "Is that really so wrong?"
"Uhhh, yeah?" Sarian replied as if this was the stupidest question she'd ever heard. "If you can think of something you'd rather do than have some really good sex, then you've never had any really good sex."
"Perhaps I'm just completely disinterested in sex." he said calmly.
Honestly, was no one willing to just accept that fact? "Or maybe I have better things to do then cavort between the sheets with people I barely know, no matter how good they claim to be."
Sarian gaped at him. "Like _what_?" she demanded.
"Traveling, or being with Rogueth." K'ran replied simply. Really, those were the best things in life. "There are so many places to _see_, why would you spend a day in when you could be out?"
"Who said you had to stay in?" Sarian retorted. "I've seen plenty of beautiful places... with plenty of beautiful people."
"Ah, but you were paying attention to the places, not the people, weren't you?"
"A little bit of both." Sarian tilted her head, running her eyes over him again. "You really are that uninterested, aren't you? How sad."
He laughed slightly. "Never heard it called sad before. Maybe, _maybe_, I have interactions, but they're always when _he_ chases. I just don't seek it out."
"Well, _I_ think it's sad." Sarian pushed herself to her feet and turned the chair back around, placing it back where it belonged. "But if you ever change your mind, you can come and find me."
"I suppose I will." K'ran replied. "And if you ever want to do something that's _not_ that..." he teased, "well, I can think of some nice places to have a picnic." Even if he didn't want her in that way didn't mean he'd hate her company.
With an easy grin, Sarian shook her head. "I don't think you'd find me very interesting. I'm easily bored, and you don't seem up to my favorite form of entertainment. It was a nice thought, though."
**If that's your preferred form of entertainment, no wonder you're easily bored.** K'ran thought, but wisely didn't say anything. "Have a good day then." he remarked lightly, his mind already wandering to other things.
