Terribly Terrific

Characters: R'bharra, H'kami
Description: Teyrabth catches Reveroth.
Location: Dragonsfall Weyr
Date: month 1, day 15 of Turn 13
Notes: Mentioned: M’sar

“Ashes. You really know what you're doing, don't you?” R’bharra smiled contentedly as he came back to himself. “Reveroth says you’re new to Dragonsfall. Is this your first time winning since you got here?”

“Hey there, handsome.” H'kami greeted with a drawl and ready smile. He could _feel_ Teyrabth’s smug satisfaction, still coiled near Reveroth, and some of that lingering flightlust. His hand moved, stroked up R’bharra's arm. “First time chasing here, first time winning here. _Definitely_ worth it.”

R’bharra eagerly snuggled up to the shorter man.

“Well. We'll have to make a habit of this.” M’sar might have something to say about that, but it was up to Nazoth to catch Reveroth once they had graduated. “But you don’t have to wait for Reveroth to rise again. I’m R’bharra.”

“H'kami, at your service.“ H'kami told him, and obligingly put an arm around the taller greenrider. “That smug brown out there curled next to Reveroth is my Teyrabth.” He added. “And I'm _definitely_ down to make this a habit. How about next time, dinner first?” He added, rested his chin on R’bharra's shoulder, momentarily grateful for the temporary height equality.

“You hungry now?” asked R’bharra. He could almost always eat, but if it came with a repeat performance from H’kami afterward, well…

H'kami yawned, ran a free hand through his own hair, tousling it even further. “Mmnnh… It's afternoon isn't it? I could get a snack, at least.” He decided, and sat up finally.

Teyrabth nuzzled Reveroth. }:You flew well, strong and cunning Reveroth.:{

}:And you flew swift and mighty!:{ said Reveroth. }:I am glad to have been your prize.:{

“Heh, you _are_ a snack,” said R’bharra. He reluctantly unwound himself from H’kami and set about collecting his clothes.

H'kami laughed, even as he sought out his own clothes. “Okay, that's a new one.” He conceded.

Teyrabth rumbled, and slid his muzzle along Reveroth's neck, put a wing over her. }:You are a treasure, Reveroth, and deserved a worthy catcher.:{

Reveroth trilled with delight and snuggled into Teyrabth happily, ready to nap, safe and satisfied.

“I like to keep things fresh,” R'bharra chuckled. “So. Where are you from?”

“Dream's End Weyr, originally.” H'kami hummed. “I'm not technically Weyrborn, though.” He added. “And you? Dragonsfall native?”

“More or less,” said R'bharra. “Not technically weyrborn. But I'm from here as much as I'm from anywhere.”

“Fair enough.” H'kami chuckled, and finished dressing. “I'm from Sapphire Meadows Hold, originally, though I don’t recall the first thing about Hold life.”

“Been at the weyr a long time, eh?” asked R'bharra. “No reason to go back?”

H'kami shrugged. “Not really.” He offered. “I _was_ only six Turns when he brought me to Dream's End. Then we both came here.”

“You Impressed at six!?” R’bharra laughed incredulously. “Everyone would know your name!”

H'kami laughed. “No, no-- H'tain brought me to the _Weyr_ at six!!” He said, amused. “I Impressed my Teyrabth at 17.”

“Ah, that makes far more sense. Your father, I take it?” R'bharra wondered.

“The very same.” H'kami confirmed. “Besides, Weyrlife is decidedly more suitable, in my opinion.”

“No one could convince me otherwise,” said R'bharra. Having finished dressing and putting on his boots, he motioned for H’kami to lead the way to the dining cavern.

“So. Do you like the spicy sauce here?” H'kami asked. “I can't get enough of that spicy reddish mustard.”

“I love the spicy sauce,” said R'bharra. “Keeping it spicy is a great way to keep warm in the winter. Or to keep things fun in the summer.”

“Oh I can _definitely_ see that being a thing.” H'kami assured. “And hey-- the sauce is so versatile, too. Bread, stew, soup…” He gave a shrug, then grinned. “Next you know, the klah might be spicy.”

“Spicy klah I can get behind, but I wouldn't recommend mustard for doing it,” R’bharra chuckled.

“Sounds like something Weyrlings would get up to.” H'kami agreed, with a laugh of his own and a wrinkled nose.

“Actually… I happen to know a weyrling. I might have to suggest he experiment on his classmates. For science,” said R'bharra.

“Faranth.” H'kami huffed, amused. “You're terrible, aren't you?” They reached the dining hall then.

“I think you mean, ‘terrific’,” R'bharra winked.

“Terribly terrific.” H'kami affirmed, with a playful smirk. “Oh, there's a few seats, c'mon.”
