Cerillith rose at noon. Harki was expecting it; the last time she'd risen was a few months ago and her dragon wouldn't be roused in time for morning drills. The signs were there, so she'd sent a kid with a message to K'reyel to excuse herself. Harki spent the morning puttering around her weyr, oiling straps and tidying up the cups, bottles and other assorted odds and ends that belonged in the kitchens instead of underneath her bed. Waiting. It was frustrating, but in a familiar way. And she couldn't wait to get rid of the itchy tension that rested just beneath her skin.

When Cerillith woke, Harki was already by the flight cots, dressed in a loose dress with a jacket for warmth and her riding boots to cover her legs. Last thing she needed was to bother with mending. She slipped half into her dragon's mind as the green stretched her wings. Cerillith glowed green in the noonday sun. Ichor and lust raced hot beneath her hide. She leaped off her ledge with a flirtatious cry, eager for attention and a chance to play in the clouds.

G'nir wasn't all too happy when Nirreth declared his intention to chase and whose green it was. Harki was not one his favourite people. But she was pretty and female, so he decided to comply with his bronze this time. Leaving E'naer in charge, in case D'kere was chasing too, he headed from the flight cots.

Sh'lua and Galerith were always happy to chase, whoever it was. The blue replied to Cerillith's challenge.

J'lor trotted down to the flight cots once Luruth told him he was chasing. A smile lit his face when he saw who it was. He and Harki didn't know each other well but they were Wingmates.

R'axe looked up as more men entered the flight room, his last glimpse was of J'lor before Jayth demanded his attention. Looking through the eyes of his blue dragon, R'axe could feel, as if it were his own, the blood singing in his veins as his wings as he set his sights on Cerillith.

}:I chase!:{ Lakiath informed both his rider and Cerillith. The blue dragon saw the green's hide shining and he wanted her. They were not at drills, there was no reason not to chase, so he would chase. It was very simple.

Z'kai shook his head, amused by how simple his dragon's mind was, and took himself to the flight cots to await the outcome.

Of all the suitors's riders that had arrived, Harki decided that Sh'lua, J'lor and Z'kai were the three she wouldn't mind knocking boots with-- although it would be funny if Nirreth was the one to catch Cerillith. Maybe she could distract him into delaying afternoon drills for the weyrlings and be a hero to the next generation of
dragonriders... Whatever would happen, would happen. She closed her eyes and let her mind fly with Cerillith.

The green dragon was nimble and fast. She chose a mid-altitude route that brushed her wingtips against the tops of the clouds, banking sharply and trilling her lust at her larger, slower suitors who couldn't twist in the wind the way she could. **Catch me, catch me!**

Luruth bugled his desire and rose on a current twisting on a wingtip to stay on her tail.

Nirreth trumpeted loudly and shot to the air after her. }. I'll catch you, my beauty! :{ he boasted confidentially.

Galerith took the the air after her too, bugling out his own response to her. }: I can catch you! :{ the big blue said.

}:Cerillith, look to me!:{ Lakiath called as he soared after her. His wings occasionally catch the clouds and sweep them aside as a mark of his passing.

Cerillith ducked closed to Lakiath, then swooped nearer to Luruth. Their blue wings looked so attractive against the grey clouds! She did a mid-air tumble to avoid Galerith, coming _just_ close enough to tease without being caught. **Not yet!** she trilled. They had mated before and she'd liked it. She liked _him_. But then there was Nirreth and his shining hide, so big and powerful in the air! And what of Jayth? His hide was so bright and he flew so elegantly, and she itched to twine tails with him.

Delighting in the slip of air against her hide, Cerillith abruptly changed course and swooped into the nearest cloud. She could sense the dragons behind her, her suitors, all there because her hide was the shiniest and she was the fastest green in all the Weyr! A blur of grey-- the tell-tale swirl of cloud heralding a suitor making his move. Cerillith dodged, then suddenly found herself caught! She sang with admiration as she wrapped her neck around the blue that had surprised her.

On the ground, Harki grabbed J'lor by the front of his tunic and wrapped her legs around his waist in an unconscious echo of her dragon.

J'lor's arms wrapped around Harki, his hungry kiss devouring her. He carried her off to the nearest flight room and his dragon entwined with hers as they fell from the sky.
