Galerith watched the glowing green with lust and need in his eyes. The
green was strutting and showing off, doing everything possible to
attract the males attention. Not that she had to work much to get
Galerith's undivided attention. The blue knew this green, liked her a
lot and had caught her several times.

}; Be mine again, :{ the large blue crooned.

}: You must deserve me, :{ Eillispeth replied flirtily. She wasn't
quite ready yet, not ready to Blood and Rise. Right now she just
basked in their admiration.

On a ledge near Eillispeth, Jayth's whirling eyes followed her every
movement. }:She is the most beautiful green in the Weyr.:{ Jayth said
solely to R'axe.

**You say that about _every_ green you chase.** R'axe said with an
outward laugh.

Jayth didn't respond to his rider, but instead warbled a lusty croon
in Eillispeth's direction, }:No one could deserve a beauty like you,
Eillispeth.:{

A'kua had lost his grip on some maps and was picking them up when
Zeiranth bespoke him with uncharactaristic timidity. }:A'kua? I- um,
there's a green. She's going to rise very soon. I want- I really want
to chase her.:{

The redhead paused, curious and hopeful. **Is it Gwynnyth?**

}:No. But she seems nice. Can you please come outside?:{

**Well, all right.** So he did, bundling up the maps and tucking them
through his belt. When he arrived, he noticed everyone there so far
was male. Odd, but he shrugged it off for the time being, cracking his
knuckles and waiting for the inevitable.

Haloth's head came up from where he lay on the heights near Onnyth.
His eyes whirled with interest but he didn't move in the direction of
the strutting green. N'call blinked but didn't get up from his meal.

Torerath on the other hand began following her movements with intent
and D'ale excused himself from the table and walked toward the usual
place.

From flirty to savage, as usual, the transformation in Eillispeth was
instant. **Blood only**, E'naer remined her when she took down a
wherry buck.

Galerith was already tensing his muscles, ready for a sudden leap.

**Someone thinks they're a little queen.** R'axe thought as the green blooded.

}:She's perfect.:{ Jayth crooned back in his lovesick voice.

The flight participants shifted some, and A'kua finally caught a
glimpse of who was lost in their green. His eyes widened in panic.
**ZEI, NO!**

}:No what?:{

**Don't chase her! That's Eillispeth!**

}:But I want to chase her, so I'm going to chase her,:{ Zeiranth
insisted, and proceeded to ignore his rider, who in turn proceeded to
badger his dragon incessantly to change his mind before it was too
late-

And then it was.

When Eillispeth was feeling ready, she launched to the air. E'naer
felt their bond engulf his consiousness, merging with her.

She picked a nice air current that gave her boost in speed.

Galerith didn't hesitate and was quick on her heels. He found the same
current and used it to get to the front row of the chasers.

}: You won't have it easy with me, :{ Eillispeth taunted them, pleased
that she had some many handsome suitors.

Jayth barrel rolled past some large, bulkier dragons that could not
execute the same acrobatics as the wily green. This was not her first
flight, and neither was it Jayth's, experience taught him that it took
a nimble, cunning blue to catch a green like Eillispeth.

Zeiranth had no real strategy, since this was his first chase. But he
figured outlasting everyone else was a good idea, so he just flew
steadily, maintaining his position as best he could while tuning out
his rider's aggrieved ranting.

Eillispeth was enjoying herself, using all the trick she knew to keep
her chasers away. And she knew lot of tricks. The first one to give up
was a young blue. Galerith had on intentions to give up and he knew
her tricks. He had no troubles staying behind her.

Was that a gap in the pursuers? Could he fly through it? Zeiranth gave
it a shot and aimed right for Eillispeth, crooning excitedly.

But Torerath had much a similar view and came up from below in an
attempt to capture the glowing green. D'ale swayed closer to her
rider.

Eillispeth twisted away from them both. On the ground, E'naer
unconciously mirrored her movements in the air. He/she moved
tantalizingly close to Jayth, only to slip away again.

Galerith resisted the urge to try to grab her. She wasn't ready yet.
Eillispeth gave a spurt of a speed, growing gap between herself and
her chasers. Who would she choose this time?

Jayth tucked his midnight wings neatly against his body, barreling
through the skies to remain close to the fast Eillispeth. He wanted to
show her that he was fast and smart and would keep up with her.

No! He was going to win! Zeiranth couldn't let that happen. He loosed
a bellow and flapped his wings even harder, trying for the kind of
speed smaller colors were known for.

Eillispeth was really impressed by Zeirath. The young bronze was
trying so hard and eagerly. It was so cute. He was good looking bronze
too. She crooned invitingly to him.

Bugling in triumph, the bronze shot forward to twine necks with
Eillispeth, and on the ground, A'kua reached for E'naer.
