Even though it was a restday, Rhosyn hadn't really been resting. She was in the weyr off the grounds and was keenly aware of Orlaith's quiet watching of the eggs all day. She'd had morning meal with the others. She'd worked on some hidework that needed finishing up. Then, she had proceeded to walk by the Hatching Cavern every candlemark or so, peeking her head in. She'd been so sure that the eggs were going to start shaking the day before. They hadn't. Knowing this was one thing she couldn't rush, the Weyrwoman had gone into her weyr to make sure that her dress, shoes, and hair ribbons were laid out. Thankfully, they hadn't seen any rain yet since the tables and everything had been set up the day before.

Solieira had confirmed everything was ready. Now they just needed eggs. Time dragged by. Rhosyn went and ate midday meal, checking with Lenala to see how the wing was faring. Getting up from the table, she could feel the silent current of anticipation that was running through most of the Weyrfolk. The chatter around the tables was excited and animated. They had threadfall to fly tomorrow, which made Rhosyn really hope the eggs would hatch before then. Trudging towards her office, she plopped down and tried her best to concentrate on some of the things she needed to look over.

**I wish you would tell them to hurry up**
}:They will come in their own good time. Just like your hatchling did:{ Orlaith replied with a bemused tone. She understood her rider's sense of urgency but timing was never something she worried over when it came to eggs. They just did what they were supposed to.
**Well I wish their time was shorter**

Another candlemark passed and Rhosyn reached back to rub her neck, setting the stylus down.
}:You might get your wish after all:{ interrupted her thoughts as Orlaith's belly began to rumble. Instead of a bugle, though, her mouth opened and let out a very loud humming noise. It wouldn't be long before the rest of the Weyr's dragons would be able to hear it and join in.

Giving a whoop of joy, the small Weyrwoman hurried out so she could get dressed. The dragonriders set up for transport duty wouldn't need reminding to head out. And soon, the others would know and start to arrive. Even as the candidates would begin to don their white robes in anticipation of the moment that could change their lives forever, Rhosyn was slipping into an interesting dress that was surely going to be talked about. Deciding that a new Weyrleader was enough of an excuse, she had ordered the dress made. The skirt was short, coming to just below her knees and it flowed freely, making it easy to move when the dancing started. At her waist was a belt made of black leather that was cut into knotwork that wound around her middle. The top part of the dress featured only one strap that came across her left shoulder leaving her right shoulder and arm exposed. The dress itself was a dyed orange fabric, adorning her in Weyr colors.

One of the drudges was glad to help her with her hair. Instead of plaiting it like the Weyrwoman did for daily wear and flying, she simply pulled part of it up and tied it in the middle, letting the whole copper mass fall where it may otherwise. Slipping on a pair of golden earrings and a necklace to match, Rhosyn stood up and gave herself a look before she walked out of the weyr. People would be arriving soon and the stands would start to fill up. Turning her head right, she looked over at her queen, who was watching the eggs. They weren't rocking yet, plenty of time to get everyone settled. Orlaith's eyes whirled a happy blue.

Instead of sandals, she had actually chosen black wherhide boots that came up to her ankles for this particular dress so the Grounds weren't burning her feet. A smile touched her lips. **Wonder how long it's going to take K'ran to get ready. Perhaps I should go and see about him.** Taking the initiative, she headed toward the Weyrleader's weyr. That way, they could enter the Cavern together.
