"It just doesn't sparkle enough." Runnfreya said with disgust as she held up the necklace that the market vendor was trying to sell her. Runnfreya enjoyed getting out and visiting the market at Sunstone to see the different stalls of dresses, jewelry and more.

The necklace she wore at present was an ornate gold piece with large, chunky red stones that caught the sunlight. The stones were arranged so that they veered down, dipping just above the generous swell of cleavage that the lady showed off in her form-fitted dress.

The vendor's eyes seemed to have noticed the direction of Runnfreya's necklace since his eyes were glued to her chest for most of their conversation. "Oh? Try this one then, milady. I am sure we have something worthy of your exquisite breast-- aahh," his eyes widened in alarm at his mistake, "taste, that is milady, your exquisite taste."

Runnfreya smirked a little, not at all appalled by the man's slip of the tongue, it happened frequently enough. She liked having that effect on people.

"Let's see this other necklace then." She drawled, flicking her fingers at him.

Raghad watched her actions with fond amusement. When the vendor's tongue slipped, Raghad gave him a scowl. Of course, he was quite used to the effect his beautiful wife had on other males. "Those weren't real rubies, they are garnets," Raghad commented about the first necklace. His past as a trader has given him wide range of knowledge almost anything men sold. "If you want sparkle, my dear, go for diamonds," he picked up a lovely diamond necklace. It wasn't as showy as the first one but it was worth ten times more.

Runnfreya's eyes lit at the expensive necklace that dangled from her husband's hand, "My husband has excellent taste as usual, don't you think?" She winked at the vendor.

The man working the counter was quick to nod, "Oh, yes milady, excellent taste."

"It does have a beautiful sparkle to it." She murmured to Raghad.

"It matches your eyes, dearest," Raghad murmured back.

Runnfreya's teeth flashed as she smiled up at her husband. It never ceased to amaze her how lucky she had been that Raghad had spotted her when she was nothing but a young drudge in the Hold. Many men of his rank wouldn't have minded bedding her, but none of them would have married her.

"I'll take it." She murmured to the vendor, although her heated gaze never left her husband's.

"Only the best for you," Raghad said. He counted himself lucky for finding her. She was beautiful and smart. He turned to the merchant. He didn't carry that much marks with him, so he asked the Vendor for hide and pen and wrote a note.

"Give this to my steward and he will pay the marks," he handed over the note. He could imagine what the steward would be thinking, mentally crying about spending marks on extravagance. But Raghad saw it as an investment. Appearences were important and he didn't wear fineries himself, so he had his wife wear them and show off their wealth. Not to mention if worst happened and he died, leaving her with nothing, Runnfreya was smart enough to sell all those jewels to support herself. Raghad didn't plan on dying anytime soon nor did he plan to leave her with nothing. But accidents happened as well as conniving heirs. Testaments disappeared or got forged. Shards, he had arranged few of those himself during his long life.

"Just have it delivered, please." Runnfreya instructed the vendor, she didn't want to risk carrying around such an expensive piece of jewelry in the market.

Looping her arm through Raghad's, Runnfreya fell into step beside of him as they walked, "Thank you for the necklace, love."

"You're very welcome. I expect you to wear it next time we visit Sunstone," Raghad smiled. "Shall we find something nice for the children too?" he asked. When he talked about children, he meant those she had given to him and the fosterling. The rest of them were all adult and could purchase nice things on their own.

"We had better, you know how Runha pouts when we don't bring her something back, and I would like to pick up Torianna something up as well. She's seemed a bit homesick lately." Runnfreya said as they walked.

"She's probably worrying what happens now that she's at marriageable age," Raghad replied. Problem was, Raghad didn't know either. Her both parents were now dead, so it was probably up to Raghad to decide.

Runnfreya had never had the worries that girls like Toriana had. As a child of a drudge, Runnfreya had known that she would be destined to slave away in the kitchens. **Until Raghad found me.** She glanced sideways at her husband. He was getting older now, but it didn't lessen an ounce of the love she felt when she looked at him.

"I guess we can begin looking at suitable arrangements for her. I can talk with Lady Xeladrie and see what suitable men she would recommend from the area."

"You do that," Raghad agreed.

"Excellent. I'm already scheduled to visit with her during lunch tomorrow so I'll make sure to bring it up to her then." Runnfreya had been incredibly pleased when a Lady Holder had finally come to Sunstone, because she'd had no one at all to visit prior to Xeladrie's arrival.

"And I'll have a meeting with the Lord Holder. I don't have to tell you to keep your eyes and ears open," Raghad said. Runnfreya's acute observations and bits of gossip she had gleaned, had won him profitable deals in the past.

Runnfreya's dark eyes sparkled, "Of course, darling."
