The sky had been threatening at the Weyr so Rhosyn had hurried to get her gear on and pack a carisak. She had an extra set of clothes so she didn't have to spend the rest of the day in her flying gear. With that taken care of, she had left instructions with Lenala and then headed out onto her ledge to mount her queen. As excited to get out of the Weyr as she was, Orlaith was ready to show the holders her magnificence. They hadn't been to the Hold since the Gather and it was always good to remind the holders why they tithed as well as check in to make sure all was well.

The Weyr was grateful for their support but they should also be grateful for the Weyr's protection. Strapping herself in and pulling her helmet on, she pulled on the straps one last time before letting her dragon know she was ready. Normally, she would have an escort-either K'sedel or perhaps another young bronzerider but Rhosyn had decided she didn't need one and
didn't want the bother of waiting on anybody. Besides, she was the Weyrwoman-she could do whatever she wanted and there weren't safety concerns with a short trip like this.

Rising into the sky, Orlaith made flying look effortless. It was also hard to pinpoint the small rider on her back since Rhosyn sat behind one of her neckridges. Answering the watchdragon's challenge, they disappeared beyond the Star Stones and came out above Sunstone Seahold. They took their time coming in, giving the people below ample time to look up and see the sunlight glinting off the pale golden hide. Rhosyn was showy but she also liked to give her queen her due and Orlaith deserved to be admired. Answering the Hold's watchdragon's bugle, they announced themselves and then began to circle for a landing. Careful, lest they harm the prize they were carrying, Orlaith came to a rest on the empty square reserved for Gathers.

Talon had bugled boldly at the queen's arrival in the skies above Sunstone Seahold and disappeared to offer his greeting to their distinguished visitor. Having been thus alerted by his fire lizard, Eirock was able to see the impressive descent of the magnificent opalescent gold and her rider. His heartbeat quickened at the thought of Rhosyn and their passionate encounter, but he immediately took himself in hand and allowed his pragmatic side to override the response. Dragonriders were known for casual dalliances and she was after all the Weyrwoman of River Bluff Weyr. He was curious about the reason behind her visit, however, and why she arrived with no escort so he made his way down to the main Hold entrance to investigate.

Yriadha appeared outside of the doors seemingly at the moment of
Rhosyn's arrival. Stately, she drew her slim form to her natural
height and approached the dragon, but stayed at a good distance
waiting for Rhosyn to dismount.

Whirling blue eyes scanned the area ostensibly to make sure things were safe then Orlaith lowered herself so Rhosyn didn't need a rope to get down. The queenrider gingerly adjusted the carisak that carried the pot and then unstrapped and very slowly and carefully made her way down. When she hit the ground, she pulled her helmet off and put it in the harness bag with her jacket. Her clothes were in the sack with the pot. She saw the Headwoman first and nodded to Yriadha. "I've come with a gift for the Lord Holder. Is he at home?" If he wasn't, she'd ask for Xeladrie.

"Milady, there's a gold dragon here!" a drudge breathed in awe as she skittered into the Lady's room.

Xeladrie opened her mouth to protest the intrusion, but then the words sank in. "A gold? Here at Sunstone?" She didn't recall any visits from the Weyr, and surely her husband would have mentioned.

The drudge helped her pin up the escaping strands of hair and make sure her dress was tied, but she forewent putting on jewelry to instead get to the square more quickly.

Yriadha stepped forward. "Welcome to Sunstone Seahold, Weyrwoman. We are honored at your visit. Lord Bryvin is indeed within." She gestured to a drudge with a light hand, the gesture plain. The drudge darted off to alert the Lord Holder and the need for his presence. "He will be here shortly. Would you care for refreshment inside?"

Eirock arrived in time to hear Rhosyn's words and Yriadha's
greeting. "Allow me to add my welcome, Weyrwoman Rhosyn," he said with a smile, "It's very good to see you again. My duty to Orlaith, her descent was breathtaking."

Bryvin got up from his desk and moved toward the door but waited at the foot of the stairs when he saw his wife descending. He offered his arm to escort her outside.

"I would, but I'd like to change first please." She leveled her head toward Eirock as she saw him coming and had a momentary flash of how he'd felt in the dark. "Well met Steward. My queen accepts your praise." She gave a fond smile in Orlaith's direction. The dragon was waiting for everyone to move so she could ascend to the fireheights.

Walking toward Yriadha, Rhosyn looked forward to the Hold. **Let's see how well they treat their Weyrwoman eh?** She hadn't really been inside it much, so this was an opportunity.

Xeladrie took her husband's arm and let him lead her. She was really looking forward to meeting Rhosyn again.

Bryvin walked out through the main doors and stood at the top of the stairs with his Lady to receive the Weyrwoman. "Welcome," he smiled and a tiny brown firelizard swooped from the heights to land on his shoulder and warble a welcome of his own to the mighty queen.

Casting a very large shadow, Orlaith was quiet as she observed the goings-on around her. She was very aware that her rider didn't exactly look very female at the moment. Rhosyn in her flight leathers wasn't very impressive. }:I am hungry:{

"Hello again Lord Bryvin and to you as well Lady Xeladrie! Orlaith wants to know if she can hunt. If not nearby then perhaps it would be allright in the forest that way?" Rhosyn was unsure of where they kept their herds for breeding.

Yriadha took her place partways behind Bryvin and with a silent
gesture, indicated a drudge to aid the Weyrwoman with her package.

"Some huntsman reported a good sized herd of wild porcine moving
south," Eirock suggested, looking to Bryvin to confirm the
recommendation. Since the Hold had already benefited from a hunt, and the animals had a tendency to overbreed it seemed a good possibility for the queen's meal. The area was limited in its bovine and many of the caprine were domesticated. Of course wild wherry were plentiful if the gold dragon was so inclined.

Bryvin nodded in agreement with Eirock. "The beast pens are to the west and north so if she goes south she is welcome to what she finds. I'll make sure we have some tasty treats for her the next time you visit Weyrwoman," he smiled charmingly.

She had no intention of letting the carisak out of her sight until she delivered it herself. It also had her clothes in it anyhow which she would need. With that odd look dragonfolk got while talking to their lifemates, she relayed the information and her own admonition not to scare any people she might come across. As they all moved away, Orlaith spread her wings and took the air easily. She rose gracefully and headed off in the direction indicated, scenting the air for her prey as any fine hunter would.

Left stranded with the Holders, the Weyrwoman herself smiled rather large. "If you'll show me the way, I'll get myself changed and meet you all somewhere." She looked from one to the other, expecting Yriadha to take charge. By the look of the woman that was the most likely outcome anyway. She was quite severe. Comparing her own Headwoman with this one, she understood why Xeladrie might have worries. **Faranth that woman looks as if she had a stick up her arse**

"She is incredibly beautiful in the air," Bryvin smiled as they all watched the magnificent queen take flight. He returned his attention to the queenrider. "Yriadha will show you to the visiting Lady's suite. We'll meet you in the dining hall in a candlemark. Is that enough time?"

"Yes, it was a joy to see her fly. So magnificent," Xeladrie added. She was very excited to see Rhosyn again.

"Shall we?" Bryvin swept one hand toward the entrance for the
Weyrwoman and his wife to precede him through the doors of the Hold.
