My poor sister-in-law...they left the cold Finland just to go back to equally cold and freezing England. The good side is that at least they have proper, warm winter gear.
However, the night before their flight home, the
plumbing in the cabin they rented froze solid...so no running water.

Oh I have a good warm ski jacket (even though I don't ski) which is meant for these temperatures, and some warm, waterproof Timberland boots. People laughed at me when I bought them in a summer sale a few years back, but I've stayed warm and dry in winter since.

Good for you. The secret is dress with layers. Warm wool cardigan under and you're good to go (don't forget cap and mittens!)

I am a benevolent storm... I only strand people in their cars overnight, keep kids in McDonalds for hours, bring trees down and stop trains early
