Do your characters have theme songs?

Avery's comment in the Cbox helped me decide to just lay this out there. Like the title says, is there a song, modern or otherwise, no matter the genre, that makes you think "Oh man, this describes [character] so perfectly. I love it!" (Or in the case of music without lyrics, "I like how that makes me feel. It works for [character].")

I do this a lot. :-) I got to thinking about it recently for my personae here at Triad. For the moment, I'll just focus on A'kua. Since I like old-school anime very much, of course I'd connect him to a theme from an anime soundtrack. It's called "Harlem Bomber." Great bass line, low-key intensity, a nice beat, and an 80s sound I can really get behind. If it's possible to describe my favorite persona with just sound, it would be with this.

(If you're curious as to what the tune sounds like, here's a link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Luh9Fs5bTLo )

How 'bout you guys?

I've never had a particular song that fit a character, but I do remember the first time I heard "I Should Have Known" by the Foo Fighters it was around the time U'kaiah and Traelyn were breaking up and I thought it was a perfect reflection of his feelings...

I'd say that still works. :-) It's a very powerful song, Eimi.

I challenge someone to come up with a theme for J'ackt and another for Lanniya. :D

The only one I can come up with is "Animal I Have Become" by Three Days Grace for J'ackt, but it fits who he was before he came to the Weyr, not who he is now.

No one of the current ones have theme song, but one of my former sonas did. Rigella's theme song was Join me and When Love and Death embrace by HIM (Well, pretty much anything from HIM fit her, sad and tragic)

oh, Miriah, check HIM's Killing Loneliness, migh fit J'ackt's current mood.

"The truth is out there but the lies are inside your head." Terry Pratchett

Gabriel Lorca: "I still don't give a damn.  .

Chloe: A list of everyone you've slept with in the past eight weeks.
Lucifer: Right. You'll need a much bigger notepad.

Maze to Lucifer: I'm worried that humans are rubbing of

Oh man!  Poor Rigella!  I remember her and Birigundi...

Ooo - good question! I like the Foo Fighter's song for Traelyn & U'kaiah - very fitting. I love me some Foo. :) And I'll have to do some thinking for J'ackt and Lanniya.

Leigh - great bass line indeed for Harlem Bomber! I like that.

The first time I heard "America's Sweetheart" by Elle King, I immediately thought of Harki. It's the f-off attitude and contentment with who she is that resonated.
