What other worlds would you want to write in?

I've been doing some rereads of old series I love, and was thinking about how I'd love to play in a Triad-like PBEM game for some of them. So I was wondering who else has any games, TV shows, books, etc., that they'd love to write in? Whether it's writing fanfic, or collaborative writing clubs like Triad?

For books, I'd love a "Tower and Hive" world to play in. I tried to make one with another McCaffrey fan, but we couldn't find players or a plot. And if it involves worlds by Tara K. Harper, Alan Dean Foster, Seanan McGuire/Mira Grant, maybe even Mercedes Lackey, I'd be willing to give it a go.

There's a bunch of anime/manga fandoms I'd love to play in too. I kinda miss having an "ElfQuest" holt to play in also.

...I miss my Anita Blake-esque paranormal world. I was never a huge Laurel K Hamilton fan, but I wrote in a PbEM based on her world for years. I miss the paranormal aspect a lot. I'd also love to write in the "Edge" from Ilona Andrews but those books are fairly new and I doubt that there's ever been a PbEM game for them.

One of the things that inspired me to make this post was rereading the Psy-Changeling books by Nalini Singh and starting on the next book in the line. A world with 3 different races, struggling with their own challenges, and manipulators trying to keep people segregated and remove love and happiness? I would absolutely love to write in a Psy-Changeling game.

Yvonne, I've never read Ilona Andrews' Edge series, but I love the worldbuilding in her Kate Daniels series so I'll pick it up!

Thanks for reminding me about Lackey, Leigh - I'd always wanted a Valdemar PBEM.

Another case of "meh on the work, love the world" is Cassandra Clare's Shadowhunters books. I like the worldbuilding and the lore, I dislike her main protagonists. So i'd rather play a Shadowhunters game with OCs.

Anything with werewolves and vampires would be cool, maybe based on Patricia Briggs' books (mercyverse). Anybody here familiar with Mercy Thompsson-series and the Alpha and Omega -serie.

I did write in a Star Trek rp for quite some times. Part of that was with Ames, before we both came here to Triad.  I came to RP very late in life so I don't have a great deal of experience but there was one I truly enjoyed.  It was called Torus 5 and was a space station in the middle of some kind of galaxy nexus.

You could be anyone you wanted to be any Science Fiction or Fantasy Character or made up character. it was fun and hilarious.  I do miss that one.

Yes, I would love to write Star Trek-themed Pbem too, heck, I would write any sci-fi, fantasy or urban fantasy with the right people.
