Yes, I did it and dang if I didn't panic.

I'm still not finished panicing at this point. But at least I have the site back up and running.

This morning I wanted to try and edit some of our SEO (search engine optimization) keywords and realize that I hadn't actually enabled an SEO program in our new website.

So I went into the availble programs and found one to start running on Triad. But I was distracted and in the process of setting it up... neglected to give it a subsite folder.... yeah.

It took over the website.

This was very bad and Triad went offline for at least an hour while I worked on trying to get the site back up.

I had a backup of course but it was from last May, so.... I still have some issues to fix. Among them... all the persona pics that have been put up since then.

I will work on getting these together and back up on the site but in the meantime you will see some broken links.

If you see anything else broken. Please tell the Helpdesk so I can keep track.

Jane... can you help me with finding all the problems. I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks everyone... I feel about an inch tall right now and I'm hoping you'll understand.

Sigh

Additional note: As you know I had some computer issues a month or two ago but luckily I'd done a carbonite back up of my hard drive before I got my new computer.

it will take a couple of days to download it but then I'll have the pictures and can upload the ones that are missing from the site.

After all that you do, Suzee, I think you're allowed the occasional snafoo (or twenty) so don't let it get you down.  We love ya and appreciate all of the fabulous things you do to help make Triad what it is!

Hey, it happens :) I only have experience in HTML and some CSS unfortunately, but if I can ever lend assistance just let me know.

Thank you Heather! There are times we need to us HTML in combination with PHP for programming the pages.

There are a couple of persona pics I don't have in my files yet so if you have them still, please forward a copy.

Luckily the database wasn't affected at all, only the index page and the picture gallery were wiped. I did have most of the items I'd created for people up on my deviantart site so they were easily retrieved and resized. Once they were back in the right folder they showed back up on the site.

Thanks for your patience.

Jane

Don't feel bad about it.  It's the sort of thing everybody does on a smaller or larger scale - LOL!

I'll keep an eye out for things for sure.

Haha - it happens. :) Thank you for doing so much work, and dealing with so much stress, for something that is essentially a hobby. You and the whole webops team are amazing!!

Chelle

No worries. :)

I can do html and php though I'm better at the former. And graphics though I don't have a current copy of photoshop. working on that.
