Vintner Hallmaster Question

I was wondering, when we are writing about things at the Vintner Hall, do we write as if Rayan is still the Hallmaster until this is filled by someone else?  Or for storyline purposes is he gone now?  I mean for in character posting purposes, is the Hallmaster position open or are we writing as if it is still filled?  Does that make sense?
