I'm Jen, a new/old member who had to take a break from Pern (sad day!) during the more intensive study years of my life. But now I'm back and ready to play!

My newest adoptee is Sefanya, your lovable resident foster mom! She has five kids and two flits-- if anyone has a character who wants some interaction, let me know

Thanks all ^_^ I start my new job on the 17th, so I'm hunting as many posts as possible before then. As soon as I'm cleared to get new 'sonas, I'll be an even BIGGER pest (props to Suzee for not murdering me in my sleep yet lol). Where is most of the action happening in the Triad universe?

I have the Weyrwoman at RBW who would have dealings with Sefanya since she assigns the children to their fostermothers. Also have E'rae and D'lorn the WLM2nd.

Actually, that is the headwoman's job. But it's understandable if you have Qorri talking in your head at the same time as Rhosyn.

According to the DLG, Moreta, etc it's the Weyrwoman's duty actually....though the Headwoman oversees the fostering staff directly.

IE: Sol would make sure the fostermothers are doing what they need to be, but Rhosyn actually chooses to which woman each kid goes.

That may be the way that Moreta did it, but that's thousands of turns in the past of where Triad is now. While some clubs may play it that way, Triad has never played it that way. We give our personas the freedom to arrange their own fosterings. I'm sure the Weyrwoman would know many of the foster mothers though. I can understand the confusion.

They way we've always played, at least as long as I've been here, is that the Weyrwoman is in charge of Candidates, her own Wing, pregnant riders (but not where they foster their children unless in an advisory role), making sure the tithes have been collected, the general mental/physical health of all residents of the Weyr, diplomatic relations (in conjunction with the Weyrleader), and of course the care of her own dragon (with the help of candidates in the bathing and oiling of the dragon). She is also the person the Headwoman reports to directly.
