Am I correct in assuming that Briata would be assigned assistants?   Would she be assigned them or able to pick them out?  I'm assuming the Headwoman reports to her as well (or does she report to the Steward?).  If the Headwoman reports to Briata, would she just simply consider the Headwoman and any assistant Headwoman as her assistants?

As far as assistants, I think that's really up to you.  It's not something written in stone.  I'm sure each Hold is different.  At a large Hold like Garnet Valley I could see a coupld ladies, maybe fosterlings so they get training, who are assigned to be her personal assistants.  And I'm sure that either she or the Lord Holder would choose them.  It all depends on their relationship and the amount of control the Lady is given.  So I think it's up to you and Avril!
