Have any pets?

I work with dogs and I've recently realized that when talking to/meeting someone one of my first questions is: Do you have any pets?

So... do you?

I have 3 dogs.

A Siberian Husky/Timberwolf mix named Freedom. She's a little over a year and a good 60 lbs already! She's white and gray and the biggest sweetheart. She tends to be very dominant with the dogs at work and prefers to play with the big dogs (the Dobies, Mastiffs, Rotts, Ger. Shephards, etc...). Freedom loves to talk and does her howling-talking thing all the time.

Then, there's Cadence, a German Shephard mix with ears that are much to big for her body. I say she's a mix because she does look like a G.S. but so very goofy looking that you can't possibly say she's full-Shephard. Cadence is the most submissive of the three dogs and tends to be very needy. But, she's a great cuddlier and will follow me anywhere - no leash required... EVER.

Lastly, there's Patriot. She is an Aussie Shephard mix who is black and white with short hair. Patriot is the dog we've had to work with the most. She was originally my husband's parents dog but they were convinced she was a bad dog and that nothing could be done to correct her. So wrong! We started taking her to work with us, taking her for runs and correcting her for the things she did (she used to bark a lot and chew things) and now she's a perfect dog. She can be a bit neurotic but that's the breed I think. She loves to sleep at the end of our bed and follows my husband around constantly. To Patriot, my husband is absolute Alpha.

Notice a theme with the names. Hehe.

So, again, have any pets?

I have plants.  I had 13 plants, but alas, I think I finally managed to kill 2 off.  A sad day.  Though, that just means I can go out and find 2 more, which is an exciting thought!

But when I eventually make it back to the states and get settled I want to get two cats.  (cause 1 would be lonely)

One cat, Slink
Over the years I've had many other cats and the occasional dog. I'm tempted to adopt another cat (Slink was an adoptee from one of those horrid multi-cat houses that occasionally appear in the news) but I live in an apartment and figure that it's not the best plan.[/color]

We have five cats, four indoor, one outdoor.

Eldest is a grey tabby on white.  She's about 19 and is named Summer.  She was my hubby's cat before we were married and now she's our cat. :)

Second Eldest is Piper.  Got him in 2004.  He's a tuxedo cat and extremely sweet and social.  Doesn't scratch or bite, even if you pull his tail.

Third eldest is Aiko.  We got her later in 2004.  She's a Japanese bobtail and of calico colour.  Mostly white but with some colour on head and bobtail.  Another extremely sweet and social cat and doesn't scratch or bite.

The outdoor kitty fits here we think.  We're not sure of her age but we're thinking around two or three.  We managed to place the three kittens that were with her but not her so we just take care of her now.  Her name is Tabitha.

Our youngest is Buster, another rescue.  I had to bottle feed him after his mother abandoned him at two weeks of age. We were going to trap and spay and get her placed, but she disappeared. :(

Um..why yes, I am a crazy cat lady.  Why do you ask?

My mother-in-law works a rescue league (Silver Lake Animal Rescue League) here in MI. She takes in kittens, almost always those that need to be bottle fed, raises them and weans them off the bottle and then they go back to SLARL and they adopt them out.

So far this year I think the number is up to 30 kittens that she has cared for. And on top of that she has 6 cats of her own!

Crazy Cat Lady indeed. Hehe.

Jane

One very spoiled 'only child' cat called Sam.  He's an indoor cat with outdoor privileges (aviary, harness and lead, etc) and he's a chocolate tabby point Ragdoll.

Here he is.

I am a crazy cat lady in the making.

I have a kitty, Skippy, and a parakeet whose name is Kiwi  :)

No pets, unless you count the tamagotchi my son left to our care.

I'm good at killing house plants (indoor-plants, the garden flourishes, especially this summer when it's rained often).

I've had two cats, a rat and two gerbils.

No pets of my own, but the people downstairs have a puppy that seems to want to adopt me ;)

I had two cats... my son was found to be allergic though, so they went to my parents house.  We're contemplating a dog to be a companion to the kids, but we're starting with fish since they don't seem to take responsibility too seriously as of yet. :)

Well at the moment..none of my own...but i live with my grandparents who have two Yorkies.
Bindi-will be a year old on Monday. She's sweet natured, loves to dress up, and is cute as a button. She sometimes thinks she's my dog since I dress her, buy her things, take her places, and potty trained her.

Pepper-Hes 7 now. He dresses but isn't as enthused as his sister. Hes cute though and will ride about in a dog stroller when I want to take him places. I've known him since he was a puppy.

Theyre very spoiled. They both have their own doggie booster seat for the car, snappy collars, beds, etc. but I think Sissy is slightly more spoiled haha.

I have a flower bed, a big plant, two hanging plants, a vine, and a potted plant. Oh and a butterfly bush. It's also my responsibility to keep three hummingbird feeders, five bird feeders, and one squirrel feeder full. And I also managed to sew some wildflower seeds that came up beautiful.

Papa has a veggie garden and he planted some irises along the fence row.

Yeah we have alot of plants... and stuffs.

Otherwise before college I had a miniature poodle for 17 years, 3 rabbits, some fish, and a turtle.

By proxy..I've had to deal with my mom's dogs. Right now she has two poodles and a rat terrier.

Chelle, I *adore* Yorkies!  :)  They have the sweetest faces.  And I feed the wild birds in our backyard too.  We have a finch sock filled with tiny black seeds for the golden finches, and then we have three bigger bird feeders for the larger birds, like mourning doves, brown birds and band-tailed pigeons.  The finches remind me of AM's firelizards....they're always scolding each other  *g*
