I wish I had whole day to watch it but I'm limited to one episode/night.

Just wait until you get to the end of that series - The Parting of the Ways is amazing

I love that episode. I've seen it 4 times, and I'm still not tired of it. That's the episode that sold me on the 10th Doctor.

Oh, I liked her already. :) My friend thinks she's the best character ever.

SciFi totally blew some of the surprise for the finale. Right after the last few seconds of the first part, they show a preview with Tennant all over it. How stupid can you be? It was supposed to be a cliffhanger!

Sounds crazy of them.  The BBC did not show any preview of it, all trailers only showed Rose, Donna, Mickey etc and there was a press embargo.

I guess they thought people might have already known???  Internet and all that

True, but they shouldn't have assumed. And some of us *ahem* stayed away from spoilers so they would be surprised. Oh, well. One more day to go!

How come the Doctor never seems to land on rigth time/place? Either it right place but wrong century or the time is right but the place isn't. Or it's totally off the mark? Seems like he just can't navigate.

He never could get it right.  In the original series before the BBC relaunched it there was some sort of problem with the Tardis navigation.  There was even one year with the Third Doctor where he was stuck on Earth because the Time Lords took away his ability to time travel.  Of course I'm not old enough to remember that the first time round, I've seen the repeats.

I first remember Tom Baker as the Doctor, then Peter Davison who's daughter interestingly grew up to play a character who was 'The Doctor's Daughter'.

Peter Davison was unique as his Doctor was the first one to have a companion actually die on his show (Adric).  He was followed by Colin Baker and SYlvester McCoy, when it got silly as the BBC slashed the budget for it.  It went off air for many years before Russell T Davies got his mitts on it.

Oh, and he would never admit to it, but my kid brother used to hide behind the sofa from cybermen/daleks/sea devils

I remember reading about this once, but I can't remember where or when - a quick search brought up mention to it on Wiki (not the most reliable of sources, I know, but meh)... but Wiki says this is because he's absentminded,  clicky... So I think it's probably partly that, and partly the Tardis navigation and Emma suggested.

Oh my, I finally got to see Journey's End, stupid sci-fi channel started it a half hour early so I had to download the whole thing.  Am I a pansy for crying the last 10 min of the episode?  it was fabulous.

no mention was made in the preview of it starting at 7:30 instead of the usual 8:00, so I flipped it on a few minutes before 8 like always and saw that it was already in full swing.  I checked the tv guide and then saw the start time and flipped it off.  I was very bummed :(

Now I'm also bummed, because according to latest reports, Sci-Fi didn't make a deal for the 4 2009 specials... so now I'm guessing I'll have to download those too.  


Anyone want to bet we'll see a bit darker Doctor for the specials?  He was left in quite a mental state at the end.
