Yeah, I loved my phone... But people kept trying to send me information that I couldn't read.  And also there are mysterious paint bubbles around the ear piece that makes me wonder just what kind of crazy radiation that thing can send out...

I almost got this motorola phone, but they told me they were having reception problems with it way out in the country (which is pretty much everywhere around me...).  I think my brother had the same one back in the states.

My hubby has that phone and the ring tones are really quiet.  No matter what volume I create them at, you can barely hear them when they ring.  The phone has lots of pluses, but the ringtone volume spoils it all. :-

Volume is important to us.  Kurt has hearing loss and wears hearing aids.  He needs a loud ring so he can hear it.

WHilst I'm not wearing a hearing aid yet, I have inherited my mothers condition whereby any background noise drowns out voices of a lower range.  I can still hear my girls talking because they have lighter range to their voices, but in a crowded room Mark and Bobbie's voices diminish.

So I need a nice loud ringtone.  My Motorola plays it nice and loud, but sometimes, when I'm in the car with the stereo blasting, I don't hear it ringing, even when it (literally) screams "MESSAGE" at me.

My cousin's phone - when she gets a text message it shouts 'Message from the dark side you have!'... And my brother has hist set to yell 'Message' over and over, louder and louder till he gets it.

Mine starts oput rather quietly saying 'Message' - getting progressively louder and more agitated, until you can almost imagine the pooor guy pulling his hair out, running around in circles screaming 'MESSAGE!!!!!' It's hysterical.  

I left my phone at the shop and knew Vicki (the owner) would have it on her desk, so I got Aimee to send me a text.  We walked into the store a few minutes after Aimee sent it, to find Vicki very flustered.  She doesn't operate phones or computers very well and had shoved it up her jumper to try and muffle the screams, all the while her customers were looking at her in the most peculiar manner.

Yes - I'm a decidedly evil when I have the chance. LOL

Oh and each family member has a dedicated song so I know who is calling me before I answer.

Bobbie was 'The Simpsons Theme' but his first phone Cailee thought needed cleaning so she put it in the dishwasher during a cycle.  And the second phone Bobbie thought was dirty so it went through the washing machine and the dryer. :(

Cailee is a very clean little girl (not!)  but she likes to play house.  Today she emptied the dishwasher all by herself.  Usually she helps Aimee or Bobbie do it, but she was bored and decided to do it herself; she also (with daddies help) tidied the mess she'd made of the lounge room, and she's waiting for Aimee to come home from work to tell her off for the mess Aimee's bedroom is in. LOL

Life, with kids, is never dull - is it?

We use prepaid phones so we don't have any fancy stuff like ringtones for specific people, etc.

My phone plays part of the Japanese National Anthem. :-D

Yep, mine is prepaid as well, nothing fancy.

Even with my old Nokia prepaid I could assign different ringtones for different people.  But the ringtones were just that, ringtones like elevator music.  I bought the Motorola from ebay, it was unlocked but is still prepaid, so I just downloaded the free song ringtones from a website and away I go.

I'm guessing I have the most gadgety phone here then.    MP3 player, 5 megapixel camera, wi-fi, radio and a satnav....  But hey, I only have to carry one thing with me.

I am one of those people who likes a gadget for each job.  I need one of those hunting vests with pockets for each PDA, phone, big pocket for the Kindle, etc
