Stand-in?

If there is a flight where the rider has a past spouse with her in the Weyr... could he stand in for the winners rider?

In the books, I believe it's done. Don't ask me when or where, I can't remember, but I'm pretty bloody sure it was done. You've just got to make sure that the rider and her preferred bedpartner are together, and that the other rider and his preferred [or second option] bedpartner are together.

Club policy discourages stand-ins.  It's too hard to organize, especially if all involved are dragonriders.  At the end of a flight, there's no real rider control over the emotions (despite us liking to imply it in coposts).  Even bronzeriders aren't against a little time with a male greenrider if they're weyrbred.

And the only place I recall stand-ins in the books is discussion in Skies for any of Anne's Pet Greenriders (like F'lessan's girlie).
