I'm going to agree with the hoarding of marks here. Eimi you have enough marks there to create a queenrider, who hears all dragons, and is from a new hold! :D

I have a few issues with this whole poll/post.

When you say 'and now additional 2' you are, of course, showing your ignorance of the finer points of marks hoarding.

When posting in your own thread you earn 2 for the post plus the 1 mark you get any time somebody replies in a  post you started.

On 15 Feb 2007 I posted this (during a very similar flurry):

Every time I post something frivolous on the forums I do think that the 2 marks is much easier earned here than in coposting (or soloing) two 5kb+ Weyr posts. Then I remember that when I get up in the morning I rush to the forums *first*, long before I read the posts.

Yep, the sense of community is a great thing to foster ... and I console myself that my frivolous posts do their bit.

And it was in response to a comment (now disappeared because this forum only goes back 10 pages!) by Bree assuring me that 2 marks was fair for posting on the forums as the forums were for fostering a sense of community.

So, Vix, you just remember, I am serious about fostering a sense of community.

It could be, but does it really matter? As has been said by Jane before, it fosters community. Plus, we get to talk about aspects of Pern or our characters or Triad that can't really be expressed only in posts, which I think is nice, so I forgive it even if that's what it is.

I have learned to save the marks. Get a flit in game. I know that April's gold flit Treasure just rose. If you ask her she can give you one in game.
