Question- Promotion to Master Weaver

Hi everyone,

Because there isn't a PC Weaver Hall, or (I don't think) any Master Weaver personas, I'm wondering how I would go about having my persona, Jadorin, promoted to Master Weaver.  Is this something I would e-mail The Council about?  This wouldn't happen for at least a year, but I'm curious. =)

Also, more important to me right now is how this would be done IC.  Jadorin has just been commissioned by a certain Hallmaster to do a huge project that I think could qualify him for promotion.  I've been looking at information on other crafts (especially the woodcraft) on the Triad website.  Is it safe to assume that promotion at the Weaver Hall works the same way, with sr. apprentices and sr. journeymen doing a project and submitting it to the Hall for judging?

Also, are there any club rules about writing for NPC Masters?  I'm thinking specifically about a Master Weaver that would supposedly be at AHH supervising the work Jadorin is doing, and also Masters at the Weaver Hall.

And, (last question, I promise!) would it be permitted to write several posts set at the Weaver Hall?

That's all for now.  Thanks!

Eimi

I think a craft promotion is something your L1 can approve for you.  If they have any questions or concerns, they can ask the Council.

A crafter would have to do some sort of project for their Master's knots.  Since there is no PC Weaver Hall I'd just ask your L1 if they think it counts or not.  If they're not sure, they can ask the Council.  However, since Jadorin is a little young (he'd be 33), I think the question would be as much his age as it would be whether or not the project qualifies.  There are 30-turn-old Masters, but most are not promoted until they are after 40, so it might take something pretty extraordinary to promote him that young.  I'd just discuss it with them and see what they think, and again, if they're not sure, they can discuss it with the Council.

There are no rules about writing for an NPC Master Crafter, however, if you wanted him to be in some position of authority over not just your crafter but all the other weavers who may come in the future, you should probably talk to your L1 about that too.

Yes, you can write posts at the Weaver Hall at EFH as much as you like, but if you want the posts to involve someone of high authority (Hallmaster or Hallsecond) you should talk to the Council since those would be Council owned NPCs.

Hope that helps!

Thanks for the reply Eimi.  I forgot that Jadorin is a bit young to be promoted.

Would you be the L1 to e-mail about the other parts of my question?

Eimi

I would be just such an L1 ;)
