Where HAS that Bree girl wandered off to?

I have been amazingly absent since I stepped into semi-retirement, as I'm sure many of you have noticed. (Some of you probably haven't because you have no idea who I am! :p) I've been trying to help out the Council behind the scenes, but between the new job and my new hobby, I've been sort of busy.

But that new hobby is starting to pay off! I have actually been collaborating on a novel with my best friend, and we've just gotten word that we are in the Top Five in the contest we entered. Our novel is about to head off to be reviewed and judged (and critiqued!) by one of the Executive Editors of Kensington Press! Eeeeek!

Our score sheets from the first round of judges were pretty promising--we got 196 out of 200 points and a lot of encouraging comments. So we're feeling pretty excited!

And as if that wasn't enough, we've just received word that we finaled in ANOTHER contest, this one a short story (pretty racy, so FOR ADULTS ONLY). It will be released from Cobblestone Press sometime in late summer or early autumn if all goes well.
