Site Troubles

Copying this over from the bug forum so EVERYONE will hopefully see it:

If everyone could maybe chip in to help me help the ISP diagnose our problem... copy down this information somewhere because obviously you won't be able to find it when the website is down!

Next time you try to load the website and it doesn't work, please record the following information for me:

The date/time you tried to access it.
Your country.
Your IP address. (You can get this by going to: http://whatismyip.com/)

I need to compile a list of people who aren't me who are having the problem so I can reassure our host that this is not just my firewall. We are having some pretty odd up and down problems here!

Once you have that info, please e-mail me at BREECITA at GMAIL dot COM or post it to the Triad LJ listed above. (You don't need a livejournal to post there or view posts... you can do so anonymously!)

I haven't had any problems yet today... and I stress yet cause a single day hasn't gone by where I couldn't get the site to come up at least once. But I've got this info and the next time it happens I'll let you know!

We have an issue with the site at the moment. It looks like any page that looks up information on a persona or member isn't working. There may be a database issue but we're looking into it.

We're still working on the issue of the persona database. We've narrowed some things down and are trying to discover the fix. Basically any page that accesses data from a persona linked to a member isn't working right now.

This is a voyage of discovery so hopefully we'll have some more news for you soon.

After repeated attempts to restore the database to our last backup, we have put in a ticket with the server host. We're going to have to have them do the restore as the weyr database is larger than the allowed upload size and it keeps erroring out.

In the meantime Area Managers and Level Ones, please don't do an timelining or reports as those will get wiped out by the restore to October 1st.  If any of you have made any changes to data on the website since October 1st, you will have to do them over once the restore has been made.
