Quick question

Hey!

I know I've been away a while (shameful!) but I had a question about the website. I only ask cause I've been planning on dropping a load of bonzais on folks later today and was tooling profiles for vict.... potential coposters, and decided to look at my own and noticed that the crayon I won hadn't been added to my 'awards' page.

Just hoping I wasn't forgotten in my long (and shameful!) absence. ;) I figure it's more likely, of course, that whoever's doing that has been uber busy. I know all about that trust me! lol

The way of adding graphics to the award page is still VERY VERY weird and confusing for everyone but me and involves esoteric command line database manipulation, so it had not happened yet. ;) I think I'm TWO AWARDS BEHIND!!!

But once work slows down, I plan to make it easier for other people to be able to do this for us!

Another quick question! I didn't want to start a whole new thread for it is all. :jg:

In the list of ways to get marks, I spotted this:

10 - Advertisement
          Council members ineligible.

What means this 'Advertisement'? Like... buying a google ad or something?

Mostly it means recruiting!!    I suppose if you wanted to buy a google ad that'd be one way! haha!

it just means getting the word out about Triad and letting those other dragon-mad folk know we have a great little club here  they used to do plugs like on Weyrplug, etc...

Some other keywords to try: weyr, weyrs, PBEM, dragonriders of pern, triad weyrs, pern pbem, pern clubs, and pern roleplay.

I expanded the countries and regions for the ad campaign to include:

 • Australia
 • Canada
 • China
 • Japan
 • New Zealand
 • Poland
 • United Kingdom
 • United States

The ads should show up in the next few minutes for anyone in those countries who uses those search keywords.

Well, I've got it set on limits as far as how many times it can be clicked per day (so I don't spend waaay too much). But hopefully we'll get a few folks from it!
