How much time do you spend on Triad things?

Mina's concern (in Introductions) about having enough time for the club made me wonder how much time a day each of us spends on the club.

For me it's a bit hard to tell since I spend much of the day on-line, hanging around the forums, waiting for coposts to come in, etc. But how much time will I need to maintain what I'm doing now when I have to work during the day?

Probably about 45 minutes morning and night, I think. That would be enough time to reply to (or start) coposts, get one solo written a day, work a few minutes on a project. Read and reply to the forums. Read a few posts. Oh, and (most importantly) count my marks!

Let's see, on the day when:

* 40 hurricane posts have been posted to the list and they all need timelining,

* somebody's been kind enough to start ten coposts for you which need replying to,

* you have had to start a copost or two yourself, and

* the Council's inbox has been overrun with silly questions and suggestions from somebody-who-shall-remain-nameless.

How long would dealing with all that take you?

The air turns blue but half an hour later in the evening they're dealt with somehow

* somebody's been kind enough to start ten coposts for you which need replying to,
I got to those in the morning, when no posts needed timelining because I, (or one of my minions ;) ) did it the night before say 20 min or so

* you have had to start a copost or two yourself, and
maybe 10 min

* the Council's inbox has been overrun with silly questions and suggestions from somebody-who-shall-remain-nameless.
Someone else gets to deal ;)

I'd say that during the weeks when all of you returning members came back, I was spending 3-4 hours A DAY on Triad, and that was all admin work and not my own posting. :p

However, that is not the norm, or I would have gone crazy by now. ;)

I tend to spend time in the evenings replying to posts while I multi-task, but I don't have an "every day" time. I sit down and grit my teeth and spend a couple hours straight on the admin work so I can plow through it, then do coposts when I can.

When I finally sit down and grit my teeth after the last month, I'll probably spend 10 or so hours catching up. I MAY not do that all in one day. ;)

I spend lots of time just checking the forums and replying to coposts (except the last 3 weeks which were exam weeks!), plus any admin work I get handed, plus anything else I mighta done. So I'd say... an hour to an hour and a half?

It depends on what's going on, whose online, and how busy I am at work. Between admin, posting, reading, plotting, checking the forums... I'd say there have been some days were I have spent more than a few hours. But that was usually when I was on at the same time as someone else and we just kept replying to each other or I had a lot of admin stuff to do. Or I was really REALLY bored at work...

It really depends on what's happening and my mood. I usually check forums first thing in the morning, while coffee is brewing. I also reply to coposts -- unless I'm in a really sleepy mood or most go to work early. When I get home, I check forums again, then do some household chores, and reply to coposts either right before or right after supper. During the evening I'm usually online and check forums and copost some more, unless I decide to have a Runescape session or to chat.

So basically, 1/2 an hour to an hour once or twice a day.

If I'm bored, more.

If I'm feeling depressed or angry or fidgety, less.

I can't say that I've found a rythme yet, because I'm new. I've been checking in mornings and evenings on work days - about 20-30 minutes per or maybe more in the evenings. On days I'm off, I've been having a tendancy to gravitate more to my computer than I normally do because Triad related things are enticing me! I'm going to have to be careful about that or my household will fall apart!

Aproximately half an hour in day (except weekends, when it's zero) Sometimes it's less, sometime more, depending on my mood and how busy the work is.

I dont get to spend time everyday on Triad

I've been too busy at work to check the Forums, which is something I usually do during the days while Im at work SHH. I just recently got to where I could get coposts during the days too and for a while I was doing very well with that, but RL collapsed on me so I've not spent any time at Triad for a few days now - until today.

I go in waves. One day I spend two hours doing all the various admin work (which for me is mostly cleaning out the spambots from the forums, doing emails and the few things I can help Bree with on the webbie side like marks and rewards ). I don't like to copost while Im doing admin stuff because one or the other of them wont get done!!

Its sad because Becki and I used to do a whole copost in one day. And now Im lucky if I get a whole copost done in two weeks. But I have two jobs and work 6 days a week, plus I teach sunday school for half a day on the 7th day

sooooo not everyday at Triad for me :( I WISH I COULD.

However, I am moving to a new place June 2nd, no more roommate, and I think my Triad time will increase alot over the summer and I may be back up to where I was before some day soon!

Id say that my Triad time is about 8 to 10 hours a week... and it really should be more like 20.

Ideally, I'd like to spend 2-3 hrs a day on triad stuff - whether its chatting with all of you (because I dont talk to anyone at all on IM except Dana sometimes ..), starting coposts (which I love to do), and answering coposts, and doing my admin stuff (which I also love to do !! I really do!)

So we'll see what the summer brings!
