Multi-Player Coposts?

Sorry about all the questions...they're the art form of the newbie :).

What I was wondering is whether coposts are possible/allowed/kosher with more than two people. All I've seen so far (though perhaps this is due to not being a member long enough) involve two PC's or, at most, two PC's and an NPC or two.

How then would flights be handled? Do players usually just play the "morning after" or do they sometimes RP the whole flight with several chasers? And if so, how would this be handled? The other PBeM I belonged to mostly used the Round-Robin style of posting and the MUSH format could easily handle multi-user scenes, but I'm unsure of how it would work in a stricly email-based game. Do people just fall into a rough order and take turns as in MUSHing?

I've done lots of multi-people coposts. Let's just say it's me, Bree, Eimi, and Dana. (Sorry folks but I figure ya won't mind :D) I put ALL of their emails in the To list, write my part, and send it. Dana's not busy, so she writes something and sends it back to EVERYONE. (That's important.) Then as Bree and Eimi have time they contribute their parts and you just sort of toss it back and forth.

As for flights, you can do it that way, letting all the chasers have a say, and then posting at the end who wins. Or you can do the morning after. 's up to you and the writer(s) of the male persona(s) involved.

Multiple member posts are welcomed!

They are often used for flights (Gilsha recently had a flight, so feel free to read the post here: Hurry Up and Rise Already).  You can post either the whole flight, or just the morning after, or not post for the flight at all.  Its completely up to the greenrider (the exception being Gold flights which are always posted).  We sometimes have them for Egg viewing posts, or weyrling class posts, parties, anything were there are many people involved.  We will be starting a "waterball game" post pretty soon which will involve TONS of people.

They are basically "jump-in-anytime" kind of posts.  If you think your persona has something to contribute you can jump in and say something.  This sometimes leads to cross-overs (two people who just happen to respond at the same time) but those often can be fit together to make sense, or one writers yields to the other.

It might sound chaotic, but it really isn't.  Multiple player posts can be a lot of fun  8)

 Looks like Avril and I crossed right there ;)

Anyway, here's a link to the Faq that has info about all kinds of posting questions:

When posts get really huge, the person in charge (such as the writer of a female dragon in a flight) might decide to assign an order to keep things moving along.

As for flights, you can do them however you want! Gold flights have to be posted about, but green flights can be morning after, or during, or from someone elses perspective... some of us have lots of fun trying to come up with new and creatively silly ways to write them. :D
