I noticed at DCW on m 11 d 12 both a gold and a green are rising on the same day? I know it doesn't matter if two greens rise but I thought it was a problem with golds?

Bree

I've heard two sides of the matter, so I'm going to run it by the Council and see what they think. To be safe though, I'll nudge the flight in one direction or another. ;)

Just checking, it was something I hadn't seem before, I also noticed it at Dragonsfall for the new gold and another green

emma

at DCW, it seems one flight is for a firelizard...

Would rising dragons :dragon: and firelizards be jealous :boxing: of each other?

..... mmmm tasty tasty fire lizard

Sorry I couldn't resist :-p

Bree

There was another green dragon before, Emma. I just nudged it out of the way until we get a chance to discuss it. ;)

Dragonsfall Weyr - m13 d21 of Turn 3

Weather
Storm (66°F)

Events
Mnaiath rises
Tayanth rises

Here is another one I noticed. so you know.

Bree

Thanks!

My instinct is to say it's not an issue, or else goldriders would have to be hauling their dragons out of the Weyr every time a green rose (which is all the time! *g*) if they were too close to rising. My general opinion on the subject is that queens don't really view greens as a threat or competition.

Also, it's highly possible we've got a gold flight in the morning and a green flight in the afternoon, or vice versa... they don't take THAT long. ;) A real full strength PC Weyr would have greens rising just about every day, so logically it really can't be too much of an issue. :D

But it is an interesting question!

Its a very interesting question!  And makes me cringe to remember I should be monitoring the Flight lists.

My apologies to all!!

Sorry clancey    I was just poking around and noticed it. I'm not used to seeing when a gold flight will be, they used to be TBA. Its true that a gold would most likly care less about a green rising but I  had never seen it come up before.

Eimi

I would have to agree with Bree there.  I think that they are not necessarily timed simultaneously.
