Hello all!

A lot of the time, when someone makes a mistake in a post sent to the main mailing list, they resend the entire post, having made only a very minor change which may not be very important to the majority of club members. *g* In order to reduce the number of duplicated posts, here are some guidelines as to what you should do if you discover you'd made an "oops".

Entire posts should only be resent to the list:

* if there are major changes to the text of the post (not just correcting a few typos)
* if the post is being made easier to read (e.g. correcting spacing, removing >>, resending a post in plain text rather than HTML)

If you have changes to make to the *header* (the who/what/when/where section) and feel that it is important for the club members to know, then send the post with the same subject line, but ONLY the header information and not the main text of the post or sigs. If it's not important, just send the corrected header to the timeliner (mentor@triadweyrs.org, not the list.

You shouldn't send anything to the main list if:

* you have forgotten signatures
* you have mistakenly left OOC comments at the bottom of the post
* you have made a mistake in the subject line of the post (though you should email the correct title to webbies@triadweyrs.org and CC mailto:estelle@tideys.net">estelle@tideys.net (in case all the mailing lists are down). If there has been a problem, we'll let you know whether or not to send your post again!
