I've been "lurking" for the DEW subscription for several weeks now, maybe a month? And i've really come to look forward to hearing of the new stories i've read thus far.  After all i've read I would like to see if there is room for another writer in DEW?  I've read the Pern novels when i was young, and haven't really had a chance to read up on them again, but i think i can still transition into this fairly well.
I'm not sure if i would rather create a new persona or adopt one already made, if anyone could point me the way as to how to begin this process, it would be most welcomed, unless of course the DEW club is closed for new membership? then i guess i could wait till it reopens?

Welcome!  We're glad to see you lurking about.  There are, indeed, openings at Dream's End right now!  So, if you wanted to join, we would be glad to have you!

You can either adopt a ready-made persona or create your own.  Some people prefer adopting their first persona because then they don't have to go through the approval process to jump right in and know the persona is already correct within our canon.  They can also jump right in and get used to our canon before trying their own hand at creating a persona.  Others much prefer to write a persona they have created on their own.  I have done both and have to say that some of my best persona's are the ones I have adopted!  But, some of my nearest and dearest are the ones I created on my own, so it's a toss-up, really.  

Go take a look at some of the adoptables and if they strike your fancy, put in for one.  Or, if not, go to the join form and create your own!  Either way, we look forward to hearing from you!
