in naming my puppy!  :goldegg

Our dachshund passed away nearly 1 year ago, he was 10 years old, and the first fur baby my husband and I had together-- so in many ways it was like losing our first child! After letting some time pass to grieve, we have gotten another dachshund, a little girl this time. We want to name her something spunky and fun, to fit her personality.

Any suggestions? :)

Suzee

Looking at her the first name that popped into my head was Shiela. I don't know why. But I looked it up online it's an Irish name for Heaven.

But since it's irish and a Dachshund is certainly German here are some I liked

Britta – strength or exalted one
Gretchen or Greta – pearl
Millie – gentle strength
Sofie – wisdom
Liebchen – Or you could go with Liebchen, meaning a person who is dear to you.

Miriah

She's adorable!!! *melts* I'm horrible about having things,  but the first thing I thought was Felene from Bambi.

Len

Shes got that feisty Maggie or Meg look about her, to me <3

Noodle! Cause Dachshunds are long like noodles.

Paula

Liebe means darling, liebchen is diminutive and often translated as sweetheart.

For some reason I'm thinking of Betsy when I look those doggy pictures. Or as I would pronoucnes it: Betsi.

Lucifer: Right. You'll need a much bigger notepad.

We have finally decided a name -- Indiana - "Indy" for short, partially named after Indiana Jones because she's such a little adventurer and totally fearless.
