Member Rewards Questions

Hey,

I have a couple of questions about member rewards. I was looking at the list, as I periodically do, trying to decide which thing I wanted to get the most (cause there are several I want lol) so I could decide how many points I need to save up first, and I noticed a couple of things.

First, "225 - One Level 4 Ranker free of Rank Limits.
          Must meet posting requirements. Does not include goldriders."

This one is confusing me because according to the FAQ the Rank Limit listed for Level 4 is "Level Four: As many L4 personas as the writer feels they can and still meet requirements." Now, I understand that goldriders have a special limitation (that is not negated by the 225 reward anyway) and so do gold firelizards (that is covered by a different reward). So, my question here is, what rank limits does this reward free you from specifically? If I decide I want to use it, what would I be getting?

Second, these:

500 - Forever Reqs Free Level 4 Persona at a Weyr.
          Rank limits do not apply. A new goldrider can not be bought with this.
600 - Forever Reqs Free Level 4 Persona at a Hold/Hall.
          Rank limits do not apply.
800 - Forever Reqs Free Level 3 Persona at a Weyr.
          Rank limits do not apply.
900 - Forever Reqs Free Level 3 Persona at a Hold/Hall.
          Rank limits do not apply.

When it says "Rank limits do not apply" does it mean that you're allowed to have four level 3 (for example) personas, but if you buy this you can have five? Or does it mean that this counts toward the four you are allowed to have? Like, you already have three, buying this will make four, but the fourth one will be Reqs free forever.

Also, the Level 4 question from above can be applied here too. Do level 4s have rank limits not mentioned in the FAQ?

We used to have a limit on level 4 personas that we don't have anymore - I think it was 4 or 5? So the wording on that one reflects this.

The awards and rewards are a part of the database. We're in the process of updating things and Estelle has some wonderful ideas for the future. So we're busy fixing stuff.  Please keep telling us when you find things that don't make sense.

After 20 turns the club has a bit of legacy to manage and update.  But trust me we're busy trying to make it happen.  This is one that has bothered me in the past so thanks for pointing it out.

Y'all's updates are awesome! And you know me I don't hesitate to let someone know if I'm confused by something. LOL

So basically the 225 reward isn't anything at all? So I can just ignore that one until y'all get it updated with something fancy and new. Good to know! 🙂

What about the "rank limits do not apply" for the L3 forever req free options? Does it mean you get to exceed the rank limits using this OR using this does not affect rake limits?

Right.  "Rank Limits do not apply"  Just means that the limit of 3 Level 3 rankers can be increased if you have room and permission to create another one.
