I'm Curious, thus named because I wasn't sure what else to call myself! I jumped in the cbox with a bunch of questions and was immediately and warmly welcomed by Suzee and Miriah, so here I am! I already have a few character ideas and am excited to get started here at Triad.

I forgot to mention it in my initial post, so I'm going to go ahead and add it here. I'd have to run them by my mentor, of course, and I saw that I'm only allowed up to three characters while on mentorship, but I would love to make a couple of characters with connections to existing PCs! If anyone has characters with any relatives they'd like to see made, please let me know!

Aside from that, what does the game need most currently? Is there a particular area that needs candidates or riders? Any location-specific plots brewing? I do already have a couple of original ideas, as I mentioned, but I'm thinking it might be easier to get started with a hook. I'm willing to share if anyone wants to hear about them though!

Barrier Lake Weyr and Dragonsfall Both need Candidates and active riders or staff. There are Holds as well, but Emerald Falls has been quiet lately. There's tons of plots brewing and in the works. What you can do is read a few posts and see if anyone catches your eye as a character!

My Weyrwoman at Dolphin Cove Weyr will be having a flight soon and she has a daughter who is 16 and would make an excellent candidate/Weyrling.

Hint: I'd love someone to adopt her even if it isn't you...

She's a 16 turn old with the Weyrwoman for her mother. There have only been a couple of NPC posts with her. A Wingsecond (brownrider) from a famous family (brother and father both Weyrleaders) for a step da. (Lots of family)

Now her da is up on the Northern Continent as a Weyrleader there and what we've seen of him is that he's a jerk with a capital J.

Brother R'nar (PC) is a bronzerider (just had a baby)
Half Sister Kielya (Onpc) is still a weyrbrat and daughter of the BLW Weyrleader. she's been played alot.
Half Brother Kendren is still very little and son of mom's weyrmate.

Suzee, I've thought about it a bit and I have a couple ideas for a rough personality for Naradis. If you like one of them, let me know and I'll make her as soon as I can do a second character.

Option One: Highly imaginative, kind, playful, and adventurous, she is also restless, secretly insecure, and seems to struggle to take very much seriously. About as close to a layabout as you can get in a Weyr without being removed from candidacy. She loves her family, but also feels overshadowed by them, and although she does want to make a name for herself, it feels like an insurmountable task. So why even bother?

Idea Two: A girl smack-dab in the middle of a rebellious phase. She also feels like she's doomed to be overshadowed no matter what she is, but more prudently, is grating under the weight of expectations that she fears she can never keep. So she's trying to obliterate them. She's standing, since she does very much want a dragon, but also goes out of her way to make clear that she doesn't want to be a /goldrider/. She's clever, observant, has a good work-ethic, and makes a good ring-leader, but she also shows relatively poor self-control, is outspoken to the point of potentially coming across as brash, and is Prickly with a tendency toward verbally lashing out. A girl with a lot of growing to do, in all honesty. She /does/ love her family. It's just... Complicated.

OMG, I liked the first one but LOVE the second one. Some of that 'character' is very in line with what I imagine Cyradis to have been at that age... she Impressed at 16 turns too.

I'm really excited to hear that! I was concerned that you might not want a personality quite so volatile or rife with potential conflict. But in that case, I'll make her as my second character!

I have multiple personas everywhere, and I've been with Triad for several years now (and in Pern fandom longer than that).

I am always happy to post, if you see any of my characters who could meet yours, let me know! And I have an idea or two for some relatives/associates...
