So, I'm a Klutz

I fell down eight steps of the stairwell in the apartment building I'm moving from while carrying a table. No lasting damage to me or the table, but I'm going to have some spectacular bruises on my right knee and thigh and all the fingers except my thumb on my left hand got wrenched back when I kind of landed on it.

The guy who lives in the downstairs apartment under mine came running out in a panic and then was very nice. Got the table off of me and carried it out and everything. lol

I'm taking a bit of a break before going back and finishing up in there. lol

Oh I did myself a number that's for sure. No broken bones or anything but I really messed up my fingers. I wrenched them backwards when I landed on my hand and so now they're all swollen and the joints are all purple. And if I try to grip anything with my hand it hurts so much. But I can wiggle my fingers and everything so there's no real damage it's just I guess like a bad sprain or something. And then of course there's my knee and the big patch of scraped up bruise on my thigh. And lots of little bruises on the sides of my arms. It could have been a lot worse if I'd have fallen more than eight steps or maybe even if I hadn't had the table there to be honest I probably would have broke something but the what kind of pinned me in or or acted like a cage or something so I have a lot of bruises where I hit up against the legs and the steps but I didn't tumble as much as I might have.

All in all I'm extremely sore and likely to be even more sore tomorrow. Which means I'm going to be a big whiny baby for awhile LOL

Yikes! If you have decent insurance I suggest going to the doctor just in case.

Ouch! Get yoursef checked by doctor just In case. Those fingers can be  dislocated.

Egads, that sounds scary! Glad that you're okay and didn't break anything or hit your head xx

Please please get that hand checked out. Things like that can stay with you a long time and you want it mended properly!

And next time be more careful with the Stair Boss**

**Gaming term.  "Boss" fights are usually when teams get together in a multiplayer game to kill an extra hard challenge.

People sometimes don't negotiate the environment well with their characters and fall off bridges and fail the "Bridge boss" or into Lava and fail the "Lava boss"  Not something you're intending to do, but causes great bodily harm!  I failed a bridge boss last night in SWTOR.

Thanks everyone. I did get an x-ray and there's no fractures or dislocations. Just a really really bad sprain.

Also, I did think about Dorana right after I did it. LOL Life imitating art, indeed.

In WoW, I have died many a time to the 'Elevator Boss' where I thought I was going to catch it, but didn't and then fell down the shaft. LOL

Oh yes WoW.  I've also failed many an elevator boss there too. Particularly the one in Black Temple.  Back in the day we raided that place every week and yes, "we were prepared." But it became a thing for the whole raid to run to that elevator and fall to our deaths.
