Yes, I was a little behind on the Triad reading.  Problem is, when I have time to have a break from work (work = full time hobbies) I also need a break from the computer and need to go and sit somewhere else.

And then I had a thought about sending the Triad posts to the Kindle!  They were awesome on there - especially when I only had a minute or two waiting for the jug to boil for coffee or while I was eating my breakfast.  Very short stories - fit nicely in small bits of time, or read a whole heap at once.

Best Solution Ever!

And P.S., there has been some great stuff written over the last few months.  Well done everybody.

I hadn't thought of that Jane, but that is really great idea sending them to your Kindle!!!

You don't want to know how many unread Triad-posts I have *ducks to cover*. I wonder if I could send them to my ipad? I have kindle-app there. How does it work?

Lucifer: Right. You'll need a much bigger notepad.

For me I just saved them all as plain text (so selected all the 200+ emails and saved them in one move) which got me 200+ plain text files in a folder on my computer.

Then I attached them 25 at a time (the maximum) to an email to my Kindle address.

Then when they arrive on my Kindle I pop them in a fold called TBR: Fan Fic which sorts them by title (because they get a datestamp at the front of their title when I save them as plain text) and then they all sit there in the order they were posted, just waiting for me to have a few moments to read a couple.

What an achievement! Glad you're current :)

I'm current on list posts within 24 hours, usually. But I've been reading the back archive on my iPad directly off the website. I'm in 2008 and I'm still impressed by some of the posts written back then - seeing ones I remembered, or stumbling across ones I wrote I forgot about.

I was trying to explain to a friend that because it's a communal writing environment it does help to know what everybody else is writing about - quite apart from the enjoyment of reading the stories.

Wow.  I read a few when I go and look something up but reading the whole 'missing years' is a brave undertaking!

I sometimes find old, old posts of mine (sometimes well before Triad, before D'fall even) and realise I'd forgotten about the storyline or the character (both persona and personality).  Some characters I've reused in so many clubs that their old posts can really surprise me!

Wow! Congrats!  Great discovery! I do most of my reading from my iPad an you are right.  Perfect to catch a post when you have only 5-10 minutes.

Many of my current PCs are PCs I had then, but I'm still surprised and impressed in parts. I do also have a few from old clubs who I kinda wanna bring back and see how the Triad setup would change them. Isn't it fun digging up what's similar and what's not, or being genuinely "I forgot that!"?
