Triad's site is changing Hosts

Our thanks to Bree who has hosted the site for so many years but its time to relieve her of the responsibility and cost.

We're working on a migration to the new hosting service as soon as we can. So in the meantime backup forum has been created for your use on proboards if this site is down. Go to: http://triadweyrs.proboards.com

Sign up and bookmark for future use.

I'll post more news here as needed.

And we're up and running on the new host. Please report anything here that may be an issue. A big thank you to Avery who was kind enough to help out with beta-testing. There are a couple of things to note.

• The Member Page has an issue that will not let you save changes right now. This is due to deprecated code in the version of php running on godaddy. I've reached out to Bree to see if she can fix it but she'd locked down with the storms that hit the southeast. Hopefully that will be fixed soon.
• New mailing lists had to be deployed as mailman doesn't allow back up and restore in a way that we can implement. You have all been subscribed but you can email the lists.
• I seem to have a cookie issue getting logged into the forum from chrome but it works fine in both Safari and IE. I'll work on this as I can. If anyone else has this issue please let me know. This was a cookie issue. Clear your cookies from your browser and the issue should go away
• And now for the good news. We're now hosted on godaddy, which has a great reputation and hosts many business sites. Hopefully this will be good for us in the long run.

Still having outgoing mail issues with triadweyrs.org.

I was on the phone with them for about an hour earlier today. They have to kick the ticket up to a higher authority but promise a resolution in 24 hours.

The basic issue is that the mailing lists can receive mail but sent mail gets bounced back by godaddy's servers as spam.  They have to identify why it's occurring in order to make sure it doesn't happen again before they can unblock it.

I'll let you know more later and rest assured that if you have sent anything to the list it's there but it hasn't been emailed to the rest of the members.

So please don't mail anything to the list until you get the all clear message from it.

There seems to be missing forum posts, like those posted after 25th april? I'm sure of it, 'cause the picture of Milady Winter in "sharing and silliness" is gone.

Oh, and I got two e-mails, 29th, titled: Welcome to the "Triad" mailing list, and 1th the usual montly: triadweyrs.org mailing list memberships reminder. Is that correct or is there now douple list?  Or douple subscription?

Yes Paula, there are missing posts. I'm trying to see what we can do to get them back but getting to the old server now is an exercise.

As for the mailing List reminders.... yes there are two. the old ones and the new ones. I've talked to Bree and she's leaving our old server up for a month just in case we have to go get something there.  Thus the duplicate lists. Thankfully this has worked out as I was able to get to the April Archive to help the timeliners make sure they had all the posts for Timelining.

Anyway, hopefully you won't get another reminder for that list.
