Bonus Location Questions

So, I discovered the shiny bauble that is Bonus Locations this morning. I'd seen it referenced, but this morning I took the time to dig in a bit more and found the schedule. I do have a couple of questions though.

One, for the character at a bonus location one, does that include adopting characters at the bonus location? If so, I'll have to laugh at myself a bit for just missing getting bonus points on the one I adopted by a few days! lol

Two, for the post at a bonus location, do you have to have a character there? Like, I only have the one so far and June's bonus location for posting are SSH and HH, neither of which he is at. Can I still write an NPC or something for one of those locations (or, you know... both) and get the bonus points or do you have to live there so to speak?

Also... I noticed a pattern in the bonus locations, is it going to cycle through the same for July on or are you gonna mix it up now and then?

I'll answer this as best it can since you have several parts.  Any council member can correct me if I'm wrong but here's what I think.

• I think (but I could be wrong) the persona thing is actually creating a new one. (this also applies to crayons for favorite new persona - adoptions don't count there)
• The post is to simply post at that location with one of your persona. Or even an NPC. You'll see a lot of dragonriders visiting the Tavern during bonus month. It's a good idea to write with someone who has a persona there or who has a reason to be there.
• You're right, there IS a pattern and basically it's Create a Persona, Post, Post. So one month you create and the following two months you can get bonus points there. We rotate through all the 'non-weyr' locations and if you pay attention you can build up your marks pretty fast.

These are all good questions... so when are we gonna write something together... got some ideas?

Oh, I meant a pattern as to the order of the locations each month. It looks like VH is always followed by EFH which is always followed by SWE which is followed by AHH and so on. I was just wondering if the pattern was going to continue on like that or if every now and then the Council folks get a wild hair and switch things up to keep folks on their toes.

And my mentor should be in contact with me tomorrow. I've been hesitant to try to get started until she does and until I've gotten official word that my adoption was approved. I don't want to break a rule right off the bat out of ignorance, ya know?

Yes that pattern will continue. That is until we add another crafthall or hold into the rotation.

And yes, writing with a persona not yet approved is not a good idea BUT!!! You could npc someone with one of mine! like maybe a possible candidate with the gold rider at DCW. OR Someone from EFH visiting the instrument maker at Harper Hall.  Then there is simply a drudge helping Arippa at EFH or Lady Benani at AHH.

But I warn you, if Clancey says, "Why did you not await my sage wisdom!?" I'm going to point at you and reply, "Because Suzee led me astray with the promise of shiny trinkets and writing fun! Haha, All well and good but everything we write will be first reviewed and approved by Clancey before it is ever posted to the list. She is your source of all answers to your questions about "How do I do this," or "can I do that."

So, Suzee will only lead you to rp fun and games. You will still partake of Clancey's sage advice, humorous quips, and permissions to cavort shamelessly.
