Our trip to England

It was nice trip if bit short and it's nice to be back home too (especially sleep in your own bed).
We left to England in wed. 12th of may. Woke up 4 am, to be in airport 6 am and the plane left 8.10 am (schedule said 8.00 but loading the cargo took a bit longer).  The flight is only about 3 hours. We arrived to Heatrow right in time (guess the caught up the delay-time in the air). It took so long the get luggage in Heatrow that we got worried we might miss our coach to Bristol  (we didn't and we had time to stop for coffee at the airport too). This was the first time in aeroplane to my daughter. She took a one look at the toilet in plane and decided she didn't need to "go" after all.  Well, there was nothing wrong with the toilets in the airport and three hours isn't that long to "hold it". After two hour's bus trip we arrived to the Bristol. First thing was to find a MacDonalds and get food! After that we located Andy (he is my sister-in-law's husband and works in a store on Broadsmere, near Cabot Circus). Then we just hang around untill Andy could get away from work and take us to his and Pia's home in Wells.

On thursday, Andy was working so we stayed in Wells. There was plenty of see there too: Cathedral (althoug there was some Ascension day seremony going on) and Bishop's palace. Little Kosmo was happy to have his cousins to play with.
On friday we went to Wookey Hole -caves. The caves were very interesting and little bit frightening according to the kids.
After that we drove to Street, ate in Bear Inn and shopped at Clark's village (Outlet area).
On saturday we celebrated Kosmo's first birthday (althoug officially it's on 19th and that's we they'll have the kid's party). Besides us, there was Andy's parents and his siblings with their mates. That was all we had time to do on Sat and I didn't get to go to Glastonbury :( . Spent the evening trying to pack things up and wonder where to find the space for all the shoppings (Well, cursing more like it).
Woke up early again on Sunday and started the way back home... Andy gave us a lift to the Bristol's bus station. In Heatrow, we had like three hours before the plane left, so we did some more shopping (I bought myself a new handbag from Harrods.)
We were home at 20 past 7 pm. We haven't even unpacked our luggage yet...

Oh, and the english weather, it favoured us, it didn't rain...much (althoug we did have a shower of hails) and on saturday it was warm and sunny  :sunny: ).

Last of the big spenders in Harrods then ;)  You've been lucky with the weather, the last few days have been more like March than May here - although they claim we could be up to 19 by the weekend and I may finally be able to put my winter coat away!

Cabot Circus looks great for shopping, but it's a fair while since I've been there, or down to Wells.  Even taken the kids to Cheddar Gorge? Not only do you get cheese, but there are other things to do as well.
