My garden has new resident.. a frog. I've seen it several times by now and it has managed to scare me off from my shoes twice (by leaping over my foot.) I call it Saku. My daughter actually got close enough to touch it. (She also pets snails).

I have a squirrel that climbs the tree next to my buildng and jumps onto my balcony. The first time he did it, it took him about an hour to figure out a way to get down.

Of course, one of my friends back in PA has a bear who visits their house. They've even seen him swimming in their pool and must keep their cars locked and food free since he broke in once to get a stray donut.

There are way too many squirrels round here. Nasty, horrible little grey rats with fluffy tails.  Someone imported them from the USA and they've driven out the native red squirrels and they actively kill them...

Chelle

hehe we have two types of squirrels that I know of in the usa... the grey, big, fat ones with really bushy tails and smaller ones with very thin wiry tails that live out West in the deserts and canyons...

someone brought you the fat ones I have i guess.

Those are the squirrels that we have in Georgia.

More than three, Chelle.

The ones here in Texas are sort of a reddish grey.  The ones I saw in Illinois were big red ones.  I've also seen a black squirrel and an albino squirrel.  I actually got pictures of the albino.  Albino's aren't a separate species though. ;-)

When I lived in PA I saw only gray ones -- very fat and happy. Here in MD, most of the ones in my neighborhood are also gray but there are black ones near my workplace. In addition, An almost-albino ran across the street in front of me a few blocks from where I live (mostly white, just a few streaks of gray on it).
