Whats in your refrigerator?

I don't usually start questions like this, but I find that I'm very amused by something that just happened at my house.

I forgot to go to the store and buy sugar or soda, so I can't make more iced tea and I don't have any soda, and I didn't want water...

so I'm forced to drink beer, which I do have plenty of.

That seemed to me, a very sad tragedy LOL  the kind of beer I have is Leinenkugels Sunset Wheat.

The question is:

what do all of you keep in your fridge?  soda? tea? cold water? lemonade? milk?   beer? wine?

Is it weird that at the moment I have almost all of the above?

I believe I have some juice (which needs to be thrown out), a yogurt drink (which also might need to be thrown out) that I use instead of milk, some tea (green and barley), ice water, half a bottle of coke, half a bottle of wine (semi-sweet red muscat), six bottles of beer (a souviner from my trip to a micro-brewery), and some coffee.

Cold tea can be good.

To be honest, the only drinks we keep on hand consistently are milk and water.  Milk is in the fridge.  Water - well, we used to get filtered water from places.  Kurt just installed a reverse osmosis system, so now we don't have to buy it separately any longer.  Other than that...well...sodas only appear at our house about once every other month.  I'll get a craving, get a bottle, once that's gone, I don't drink it again for a while.  We usually just drink water and I drink milk.  I also make the children's cereals with milk (oatmeal and cream of wheat).

You never drink iced tea, Jane?  It's the norm during the summer in America.  Sun tea is delicious.  Stick some tea bags in a big jug of water and set it in the window or out on the porch and let it brew slowly in the sun, then pour it over ice with a little lemon and sugar.... Yummy!   (though I only put sugar in black tea XD)

Milk and juice as a drink.

Water we can have directly from the tap. Finnish tap-water is safe and clean to drink. Unless someone let's uncleaned waste water directly to the drinking water system, as it happened in one town last winter.

I usually drink my tea hot. Although I've done ice-tea on summers.

I've only ever had tea hot, so there's no tea in my fridge.

Milk, two or three bottles of white wine, two kinds of beer, lemon lime and bitters, ginger beer, lemonade, coke, two kinds of juice, one RTD (bourbon and coke, perhaps?), tap water staying cool.

Water we can have directly from the tap. Finnish tap-water is safe and clean to drink.

The water I have in my fridge is always unfiltered tap water.  Usually I only buy water if I'm away from home, or if I don't have any cold in fridge and I really want some.  And then I re-fill the bottles with tap-water and put them back in the fridge :D

This might sound stupid, but I keep food in my fridge as well ;)

I have milk (semi-slimmed, only used on my cereal), a bottle of fizzy pop (lemonade), fruit juice, blakcurrant squash... and food, and more food, so no room for the beer, that'll have to go in on an as need basis.

Well, here's a question for all your beer drinkers, out of curiosity, what kind of beer do you have in yout fridge?  (or waiting to go into your fridge when needed)?

I have six kinds (since they all came from a brewery directly) - stout, lager, pilsner, pale ale, Wheat, and garnet (which I haven't figured out yet...)

Mostly I keep cheese mold in my fridge.

I assumed everyone kept food in their fridge LOL.   I was interested in drinks since I was laughing (alot more by my third or fourth beer) at my situation

Leine's is brewed in Wisconsin, Eimi, so I bet it is german or dutch!  

I love my sun tea too - thats whats in my fridge - but I had no more sugar to make another jar.   MUST HAVE SUGAR.  

Other beers I keep besides Leine's :   Plain old Coors Original (not light bleh!) and also dark and red beers.   I love my red beer.    Killian's or a microbrew red - either works.    I also have wine coolers in case I have any guests who don't like beer (hard to imagine).  

My last 6 pack ( I never usually have more than 2 6 packs) was a cool microbrew called Fat Tire.   Its an amber wheat.    I have no idea what garnet might be LOL

I also keep dangerously swollen, explosive-looking ancient cartons containing fruit juice / smoothies (generally minus one or two glasses' worth from back when they were in date) in my fridge. Occasionally someone brings around some milk because they want to be able to to drink tea in my house, and then I have terrifying seperated milk of doom in there for a while too.

You know, I'm not sure Fat Tire qualifies as a micro-brew.  It seems to be EVERYWHERE these days.  I used to always get it in bars up in Washington...  And its made in Colorado...

The last six-pack I bought in the states was Alaskan Amber :D
