*g* I have the coolest jobs in the world. I work part time at MEC (Mountain Equipment Co-Op, which is like REI for you non-Canadian folks) ... and that isn't so cool, but the other half of my time I work for a historic buildings company that does the research and writeups for old buildings in the province. But the coolest? I'm a summer field archaeologist. *g* It's kind of like being Indiana Jones only with more digging and dirt, and WAY more bears.

After 20+ years as a low-paying preschool teacher, I'm a slightly-better-paid (but not by much!) director-in-training at a childcare center. I still spend some time in classrooms, but am also involved in hiring/firing, budgets & revenue, marketing, mentoring, and various other aspects of the childcare industry.

First and foremost, I'm a college student majoring in English. That is where I put most of my time and energy. I'm also a receptionist/office assistant/accounting assistant in the family business, where I've been working for the past 5 years or so. I have learned so much in those 5 years, and I'm still learning something new every day

I'm retired now but in my former life I was a aircraft mechanic in the New Zealand Air Force. (Well, technically that's what I was, but most of the latter part of my career was spent working as a technical writer/editor - a desk job!)

I build database applications in the morning, build websites in the afternoon and write in the evening. :D

The writing is starting to take up more time because it turns out when you do it professionally instead of just for fun, you also need to edit, revise, rewrite, promote, network, fill out forms and in general do lots of stuff that doesn't actually involve writing. ;)

But it's all worth it! I just got my fourth novella contract last night! (And thanks to Yvonne, who edited that novella at 2 am to help me. :D)

I work in a University Hospital as a Health Unit Coordinator, which is a long name for a secretary. I process doctor orders, and answer the phones, and do what ever else they may ask of me.

Thanks guys. :D It's pretty exciting! I never really thought about being published before 6 months ago...it's been a wild ride.

(Of course, I'm not published YET. Just contracted and edited and in possession of pretty covers. :D)

I'm a college student. I'll be graduating on May 26th (YAY!!!). I'm studying Hispanic Studies (basically Spanish) and Anthropology. After College I have no idea what I'm going to do. But, I will finally have time to post again, and am already starting to think of fun storylines, as well as new personas I'd like to create/adopt.

(Also, I have somehow convinced myself that posting on this forum is acceptable procrastination, whereas writing co/posts is not. That's why I've been on the forum so much lately. =) )
