Quote from: "Kaysea"You're welcome.... I htink.  I'm still not the full quid on what goes on around here....  :-

Look at how many marks I have and I'm still not sure what to save for or why.

Yes, I know, there's a list. I still haven't decided on anything that I want.

I can't understand how I amassed so many, so quickly.

2 marks for each post to the board.
More than that for starting a post.
More than that for registering.

My question is, does the post count here reflect both forum and posting? (which of course, I don't do, since I'm lurking)

Starting a thread = 5
Each post in a thread = 2
Replies to threads you started = 1

The marks earned here are recorded separately from the marks on the main web pages (those earned by posting, craft articles, welcomer salary, etc), but when you need to spend marks the webbies manually transfer as many as you need from the forum onto the main pages.

Neat, huh?

Finally!!  Clancey appears here, I've been getting messages from her for the past 18 hours and I kept coming to the board to see what messages "Clancey" had left...... this is the first time I've actually see you reply to a thread. LOL

Hiya!

Clancey is the poor abused council member in charge of the forums, which means all of the official e-mails (including comment notifications) come from her!

Lucky Clancey! :D

I started to suspect that after the fourth or fifth email - LOL - it takes me a while, but I get there in the end.

I blame the time delay between the states and Oz....

The majority of people writing Pern are female (there was an article about it somewhere) so the chances of Clancey being a girl were high.  Also, the spelling "Clancy" is more common for males.  As in one of the actresses sons (Cate Blanchett? or Rachel Griffiths?? - one of them), and also Clancy of the Overflow....

*and if you believe all that guff - I have a Harbour Bridge for sale.....*

Hon, you don't need notifications of posts for this forum -- just assume that anyt time you choose to visit here you'll find new posts.

I was trying to read posts one by one, and then got flooded with notifications. I mean look... over 100 marks in less than 24 hours?!?!?!
