Complaining!

We don't have anywhere to do it here!

Not so much complaining about the club or SLs or anything - complaining about life. Sharing woes and throwing pity parties.

For example: My boss demanded that I completely redesign the template we're using for the sites. Well, I'm not a web designer. I know scant-little about it and everything I know, I've taught myself. I certainly don't know how to do all the fancy code that causes the pages to pull the info needed from the database.

My boss basicly bullies me into promising it would only take two days - though I was very clear that it would only be my disign part that would be the two days - the more difficult coding was something someone else would have to do and I didn't know how long it would take cause I don't know how to do it. He agrees and all is spiffy.

Until.

My boss sent an email to a client saying that we were making a new template and we'd have their school entered on this new template and ready for her approval by the end of the week. Today is Thursday.

The template hadn't been approved yet.
The coding I don't know how to do hasn't been done yet.
Her school is near the bottom of the list of schools I'm working on anyway and I was told to stop everything till the template is complete.

I emailed him and told him the deadline for her school wasn't going to be met. So then, he's running around freaking out and demanding that it be done and done yesterday because he promised the client - but then he's making me change all sorts of stuff about it even though both the IT guys (who are real web designers - especially one of them, he's a freakin wizard. I was quite pleased when he said he liked it)

Maybe my boss shouldn't be making promises to clients without checking his facts first. Or for god's sake OVERESTIMATE the time! Instead of telling her it'll get done in two days, tell her a week. That way, if it's done in four days, it'll be that much more impressive.

I'll join in boss type woes - I just planned out my workload for the next three works, includung 4 days of training, only to be told to drop everything (and 1 training course) for a project that might not happen!!!!

Plus I have a nasty cough

I'm siiiiiiick. And my gaming computer is at the ex's house and I want it back because I'm going through Guild Wars withdrawal but I have to find someone with a car to drive me there to get it :(

I want to go climbing but my climbing partner is having CSI night with his buddies (and the other one is at an art class that I'd like to take myself) and I'm too intimidated by the rock jocks to go by myself!

Also, the government is holding my invoice for 3-4 weeks and hasn't paid me yet, which means I have NO MONEY and I really hope that my rent cheque doesn't bounce. Also, some veggies would be nice.

And my roses are dying!! Woe! :(

I have to go to a funeral . . . on Saturday. It couldn't have been on a weekday to give me a day off. Nope. Saturday. So I had to arrange for someone else to head the Odyssey of the Mind judging team since I won't be there.

And I ache. Yesterday I had restraint training at work and my legs hurt from that. And now a long day at work (evening family event) and moving tables and chairs and even more aches.
