Pre-Membership Question

I've been looking around the Triad Weyrs site and I've read practically every FAQ and information. I'm really interested in joining this club, but there's a slight problem...I've never PBEM before. I know there is a mentor program on this site, but am I allowed to get mentored to see if I am comfortable or can even PBEM?

You can certainly use your mentorship as a trial period. Or you may wish to join as a lurker for a while to see if the story line and mail load is something you want to make a commitment to.

If you think that joining is the best way for you to get a feel for the club, be welcome. We know that different people have different needs and we would certainly not hold it against you if after a short time you decided that this was not the club for you.

I hope that you do decide to join us, and stick around for a while.

This may sound like a stupid question, but I know the Turn/year but what month and day are we in? How are the days to be charted?? Are there 12 months and 30/31 days? or is it different?

Month 6 d1-14 is usually what's being posted now, although it can be any day in m6.

There are 28 days in a month on Pern.

Aight...but by evening do you mean by the time that the forum goes by or what? Cause I live on the East Coast and its presently about 11:18 AM...my AIM sn is asianladyknight, but I'm not on it right now cause I'm at school at the moment.

I live in the Central Time Zone (right outside of Memphis). I am on-line in the evening from about 7pm to 11pm (Eastern).

Of course, now that you let us know your AIM nick, we can be all over you like a litter of puppies. Watch out, some of us drool
