Hey everyone, I'm hoping for some collab with the writers of characters in Summit Wing at Dragonsfall Weyr. There will be a pre-fall briefing type copost coming soon so watch this space but this call is for a report on the dragons of Summit Wing.

The concept:

S'kawa wants to write a report with Tectonth's help on the dragons in the Wing for K'valdran but the focus of this report is the dragons themselves, not the riders. I'm chasing input from other Summit writers to make this report more relevant and specific rather than just a vague one full of NPCs.

What's needed:

What you'd like S'kawa and Tectonth's impression of your persona's dragon to be. You can be as detailed or as sparse as you like.

Some ideas on info to offer:

• Long time member or new/recent transfer?
• How well would your persona know S'kawa (or their dragon known Tectonth) given he was born in Dragonsfall and never transferred out?
• Any particular strengths and/or weaknesses you'd like to highlight?
• Is the dragon exceptionally nimble or impressively powerful?
• Do they perform better with abundant structure or when empowered with taking initiative?
• Do they struggle to finish their expected Fall commitments or do they have energy to burn?
• Doesn't get along with X or Y?
• Does best in the center of the formation or on the edge?
• Been training hard to improve some aspect of drills and want it noted in the report?
• Do they have a lucky streak of numerous Falls without significant scoring?
• Any injuries past or present?
• Is the dragon not a fan of current leadership?
• Do they participate enthusiastically in drills or positively loathe them?
• Do you want Tectonth to know some particular piece of info or gossip about the dragon in question?

There is room here for some input on riders too, for example if the rider absolutely hates sweepriding but the dragon rather enjoys them, same with drills, etc, but the focus will be on Summit dragons.

I'm happy to receive the info via email or discord messages and then I will compile it into something hopefully entertaining for us all to read.

Thanks for welcoming me to the club I was recently gifted a box of Pern books and, as I enjoy writing and plotting and probably spending far too much time developing over-complicated family trees, it was exciting to find there's a writing club devoted to these books.

I'm still brainstorming the ins and outs of my first character but I have decided he will be a 16yo youngster at Barrier Lake Weyr with a newly Impressed green dragon.

He's hold bred from a family that has traveled often due to his Master Healer father's various postings and I'm keen to create some distant family hooks for him. Think cousins, second cousins, old friends, or even some former romantic liaisons - kept secret in the past but perhaps now it's not so necessary.

Holler if you have someone who might fit the bill
