Characters: Rhosyn, K'mai
Description: K'mai offers to distract his Weyrwoman once more.
Location: River Bluff Weyr
Date: month 1, day 10 of Turn 8
Notes: Mentioned: R'axe, G'nir, R'gelen

Debating whether or not to head down to the crafter area across the
river, Rhosyn watched the people walking in and out of the entrance to
the Lower Caverns. She was thinking it was time for a new flight jacket.
Hers looked quite ratty after so many turns and anyway it had been her
old one from Vista Point. She wanted something with the River Bluff badge
on it. It was a hot day, as usual, and she really wanted to just stay in
her weyr where it was cool. Waving to folk as they came by, she wasted time.

K'mai spotted her and headed over with a smile. "Rhosyn, I was going
to come see you later, but here you are."

The bluerider's presence was a suitable distraction. "Oh...you were?
About what?" She couldn't think of anything at the moment, but maybe
something had come up.

"First, I wanted to thank you again for taking me to the Dragonsfall
Hatching. I had a wonderful time." Being on Rhosyn's arm had been
quite fun, especially with all the glances and whispers. And of course
there had been that lovely interlude with R'axe.

"Glad you did. I did too, so we're even. Plus, I suppose I ended up being
my usual outrageous self what with a bluerider being my escort and all."
One of her brows rose and it was clear she had had fun with it. "Sorry about
that whole thing with my sister." That caused a frown.

"Don't worry about it." He waved a hand. "Did you check up on that
nephew of yours?"

"No....I did ask G'nir to keep an eye on him though. He said he would."
That was the best she could do for the moment and she supposed it was
probably easier for her nephew if she did.

"If you want to meet him and need a little friendly support, I could
go with you," he offered.

Genuinely appreciating the offer and surprised for a moment because of
where it came from, Rhosyn presented K'mai with a rare smile. "No...not until
later at least. You know as well I do how hard weyrlinghood is at the beginning.
I don't want to add to everything he has to deal with. Maybe someday when he's
older."

She was obviously looking for reasons to avoid the meeting, so he let
it slide. "Alright. Now for the other reason I wanted to talk to you:
when you have some free time, how about we get out of here?"

That made a brow rise just a bit. "To where?" She wondered if he had a specific
destination in mind or even a reason for it. One never knew with K'mai
after all.

"Anywhere you'd like. A private beach, or maybe somewhere a bit cooler?"

"To do what?" She sincerely hoped that K'mai wasn't hoping for anything more
than what was already there. And Rhosyn knew to encourage something when
there wouldn't be anything could be a bad choice in the end. Then again, having
another friend to talk to couldn't hurt either.

"Well, I would like to thoroughly ravish you, but we could also just
relax and have a casual chat." K'mai grinned and shrugged. "Up to you."

Of course something as outrageous as that was something she had well
anticipated. **Typical K'mai** Of course rumors had spread since she'd
brought him to the hatching but luckily no had ever guessed there might
be some truth to them. At least a little. "Relax and a chat sounds fine.
I'll have Orlaith tell Sebeth when I can go."
