I'm trying to get one of my last ideas out. It's going about as well as the subject header suggests, probably partly 'cause I had a shit day and I'm really tired. That's probably also why I had this imagined conversation.

Me: "This wouldn't be so hard if you weren't being such a bastard."

A'kua: "I wouldn't be such a bastard if you weren't bein' such a bitch to me. You're actin' like I pissed on your frittatas or somethin'."

Me: "Shut up. Just.... shut up."

A'kua: "If I do, the burnout'll get even worse."

Me: "F--k you and the dragon you rode in on for being right."

A'kua: [grins and gives me the bowman salute]

I love the way your mind works.  I haven't had any of my characters talk to me since Captain Dorian Alexander and I had an argument about leaving crewmembers behind on a planet.  He won that one. After All he was a Star Fleet Captain and they just don't do that kind of thing.  Do you think Pickard or Kirk would leave a crew member?

Not unless the crew member told 'em to, and probably not even then.
