So yesterday, a friend based in Helsinki (not Paula) posted a list of literal translations of Finnish words. So I learned that dragon
(lohikäärme) actually means salmon snake.

Who else is imagining a big pink dragon that can toast it's own fish????

I believe it originally refered to seaserpent....
