Have you looked at your persona list lately and realized you have personas that you haven't written for in over a year (or longer)? Why not consider making them "inactive" (this way you don't have to kill them and if you have interest in them again later you can bring them back) and create some new personas?

New personas tend to equal new storylines and some fresh life around the club-- new personas can also be a great help to some of the more quiet locations.

My Wingleader K'lvin would LOVE to have an active, PC Wingsecond at RBW to plot and write with!

Dragonsfall Weyr is still looking for a Weyrlingmaster (email Emma if interested!)

Dolphin Cove has several Wingthird positions open as well as the Weyrdragonhealer!

Green Valley Minor Hold would love some more residents and crafters!

The Dolphin Hall has at least three plots coming up in the new year, now is a great time to join in there

Hidden Meadows --- has 2 adoptables and lots of available positions

The Vintner Hall--- come on, who DOESN'T want to make wine?

Emerald Falls---- come on traders, crafters, residents, power-thirsty ambitious relatives! Where are ya?

Sunstone Seahold--- while it appears relatively full, you know those eager beaver personas are always ready to torture politely interact with some more folks!

Seacraft Hall--- where be those rowdy sailors, arrgghhh!

Citrus Bay Minor Hold-- Runnfreya would love some ladies to interact with She's gawdy, flashy, dresses scandalously, but is strangely loyal to her much older husband!

Amber Hills Hold--- There are several adoptables available here, including Sons of Benaroy, and boy are they an interesting fun lot Benamil would love to have more interactions with his plethora of siblings and half-siblings.

You don't have to write them a "send-off" (unless you're planning on retiring ranking personas, I would imagine)--- But if they're non-ranking, just make them inactive. Nothing has to happen to them "in-character", it's sort of just like they're "off screen" at the moment. And then down the road if you ever want to bring them back "on screen" you can   That's the way I look at it anyway!

See, I like that idea of being 'off screen'.  It's not that they don't exist anymore, you're just focusing on different characters.

I have taken Heather's advice, and by extension Paula's, and put my beloved Lokkun on inactive status. Maybe one day I can bring him back, but that's only if he starts talking to me again. I mean, he's still lingering in my head, but he's not talking to me. I guess he has nothing to say. :-(
