archivists and bicycles

Rather than posting two different topics...

Looking at the list of Harper Hall specialties, one of them is listed as archivist.  My guess is that every major Hold would have an archivist, but how about Halls besides the Harper Hall?  Would a harper be at each of these, or would each craft have their own crafters keeping track of records, etc.?

And, just out of curiosity, are there bicycles on Pern?  My guess is no, but I want to be sure.

No to the bicycles.

I'd say it's very likely that a Hall would have an archivist to maintain their library and craft documents.  I doubt there would be an objection if you wanted to create an archivist persona at any of the locations.
